    Very high quality hotel with charm in the middle of the old town

    We’ve spent a week with our kids in this lovely hotel. Rooms are very clean and warm, which is not that common in Germany. Beds are comfy, bedding and towels are new and proper quality. The breakfasts are great, rich and fresh. They have their own parking, which is like gold in Nuremberg old town. I have absolutely nothing to fault in this hotel, it was 10 out of 10 experience.

    No porking, poor communication

    Two issues, first communication. All communication ceased as soon as I had booked the room. I attempted to contact them via their web form which failed twice and via the posted e-mail address that I had used in a prior communication none of them they could be bothered responding to. Secondly, from their website: "And parking is never a problem: The hotel’s underground garage is available to our guests." - this is at best a complete overstatement at worst an outright lie. I had rented a small SUV they could not accommodate. Having mobility issues parking next to the hotel was a key criteria why I had selected the hotel. There would have been many other options with hotels that have park houses next to it I could have chosen if they could have been bothered to either respond to my emails or properly frame the restrictions on their website.

    Great location, amazing new air-conditioned rooms

    In searching for hotels for our 2-week trip around Germany/Austria, we were looking for places that had 1) Air conditioning, 2) Parking, 3) Breakfast, and 4) A room setup that worked for our family. This hotel fit the bill and we were really pleased with it! The location is amazing...right in the heart of a really cool section near the walls and the castle. The hotel made two great restaurant recommendations within walking distance, although you are at the top of the hill so it might be a cobblestone walk up a steep hill on the way back. We got the air-conditioned rooms (not all the rooms are, so be sure to check if you want that). This was a heavenly oasis because it was 90 degrees outside. We got a room for our family that had a double bed for us and a separate room for the kids with a shared bathroom- this worked great. We had an 8-passenger van and we were able to navigate to the hotel and use the parking garage- they had 3 spots for SUVs/Vans and 2 of those 3 worked for me- none of the other spots would have worked. Pillows weren't great but otherwise we really loved this place.

    Perfect Hotel for Visiting Nuremberg Old Town

    We chose this hotel because it was close to the sites in old Nuremberg. It did not disappoint us. We came to experience the Advent/Christmas Market, and this hotel was perfectly situated within easy walking distance of the market. It was also just a few steps away from the Albrecht Durer House Museum. The hotel was comfortable and clean and the staff was friendly. The breakfast was great, and the decor was attractive. We particularly liked the huge self-portrait of Durer in the lobby. We loved having such a nice welcoming place to return to after a day of site-seeing. The bartender had even invented a special holiday beverage, “The Funky Reindeer.”

    Great location but needing renovation

    The location is excellent, very much in the old town. The hotel is surrounded by cafes, restaurants and stubes. Overall, the current level of service is adequate but various visible symptoms lead to recommend a global facelift to the facility.Staff is very OK, breakfast adequate.
