    Good location, nice breakfast, beautiful but rather dated furniture

    Our Standard double (twin actually) was a huge room with a nice balcony facing the street. The furniture in the room and wardrobe seems to resemble the one from previous century in a good way but needs some repairs. No electricity sockets but the beds, but there are some in the room. Comfortable desk and chair if you need to work. Rather big bathroom with a nice mirror and very good hair dryer. Not quite mold yet but some black lines in the shower and the shower water pressure could be stronger, but my hubby said it’s because of old equipment. All was good with tap water pressure. Very nice location as close to the old town. The breakfast was decent and delicious. We went quite early in the morning and it had a good choice of everything.

    Great value for money. Staff were very friendly and rooms were a decent size and very clean. Had a great sleep here. This hotel is at the ‘castle’ end of the old town, which we found to be a lovely location. Not far to walk to the train station / restaurants.. but more picturesque / quiet than being right amongst them. Breakfast was nice in a lovely, clean dining area. Would recommend.

    Blonde lady at the reception this morning (13.9.25) refused to give me access to my safety deposit box, was rude,loud & aggressive. Demanded she remove items herself, although her colleagues didn’t do that. When I refused she exploded with a rant to my face, told me her manager demanded that. I asked to speak to her manager and she refused. I ended up having to remove some personal items while she watched me do it. Lovely hotel with lovely people but not her. Previously asked for a taxi for 5 persons she refused and said she doesn’t have time for that although her colleagues didn’t the previous day.

    The hotel has a great location, close to one of the gates right below the Residenz, and then it is only a walk down the hill to the center of town. Very comfortable beds and big breakfast, and parking available at 12 euros/night. Very nice staff!

    Spotlessly clean hotel, great staff who couldn’t do enough for us.The hotel is perfectly placed for the station and the Alt Stadt..All the major sites were easily accessible .The breakfasts were outstanding.Would certainly visit again.Highly recommended
