Amazing breakfast
20 Dec 2025
Very friendly hotel with comfy room, nice bathroom and a beautiful view over the Regnitz towards it‘s historic sister hotel the Welcome Residenzschloss where we stayed last summer. The two hotels share the same outstanding buffet breakfast Jennifer Peiker, Other at Welcome Kongresshotel Bamberg, responded to this review Thank you very much for your kind review. We are delighted to hear that you felt comfortable with us and enjoyed the breakfast, the room comfort and the view. It is also wonderful to know that our sister hotel is part of your positive memories. We would be happy to welcome you again in the future.

Nice for a family stay

Nice hotel, walking distance to everything in Bamberg. Get the breakfast - it's good and there aren't many other options nearby. It's air conditioned but temp controlled. Still better than other hotels in the area. Jennifer Peiker, Other at Welcome Kongresshotel Bamberg, responded to this review Thank you very much for your kind feedback! We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed your family stay, our central location, and the breakfast. It’s great to know that you appreciated the air conditioning and found our hotel comfortable compared to others in the area. We look forward to welcoming you back on your next visit to Bamberg.

Not my favorite...
05 Dec 2024
We stayed in 5 different hotels during our travels through Germany, and this was unfortunately my least favorite. It's clearly designed for conferences and not for tourists. The atmosphere was very sterile and cold. The location was also a bit farther from the Old City than I realized (about 15 minute walk, which seems further when it's really cold). The breakfast buffet was delicious, but SUPER crowded. There was nothing drastically wrong during our visit, but I would not stay here again. Jennifer Peiker, Other at Welcome Kongresshotel Bamberg, responded to this review Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. We’re sorry to hear that your experience didn’t fully meet your expectations. While we are indeed a popular destination for conferences, we always strive to ensure that all our guests, whether here for business or leisure, feel welcomed and comfortable. We understand that the atmosphere may not have aligned with your preferences, and we appreciate your input as we continuously work to improve. It’s great to hear that you enjoyed our breakfast buffet, though we regret the crowding you experienced – we’ll look into how we can better manage this during busy times.Thank you for staying with us, and we hope the rest of your journey through Germany was enjoyable! Should you ever reconsider, we’d love the opportunity to provide you with a better experience in the future.

Like Always A wonderful Stay In Bamberg!
02 Oct 2023
Amazing hotel with a huge garage below. The breakfast is also great. This is the fourth time we've stayed here. A few minutes walk and you're right in the center of Bamberg. The only negative thing about the rooms is that there are no electrical outlets next to the bed. Time to modernise a bit.....

Worse with age

We have been coming to this hotel for years for its location, service and great breakfast. The prices have gone up, the quality of service down and breakfast is awful. The rooms are still nice and it's still a good location in Bamberg.
