  Perfect Hotel for Rothenburg.

  Perfectly located near the Rathaus, with an outdoor patio facing St. Jakob’s Church. Historic feel with modern appointments. The staff/service was professional and friendly.

  Hotel Reichskuchenmeister is a very charming hotel in the romantic center of Rothenburg. We loved the location, the kitchen, and the friendly staff. It was great that they offered a breakfast box on the day of our early departure. We only have one criticism. Because we wanted to leave around 6:30 AM, it turned out that the hotel's parking and charging facilities were no longer available. So we left that location and moved to a nearby public charging station. The fact that Germany isn't quite ready for the "energiewende" (energy transition) was evident from the fact that the charging station (with a regular 220-volt plug) indicated it would take at least 47 hours to charge the battery of my "fat German" to 80% (!).

  The hotel offers an interesting mix of middle ages (the rustic wine bar), 80s (the breakfast room and how breakfast is presented) and the modern und lovely sauna. The food in the restaurant is good, but a bit pricey - due to the location of the hotel in the center of the tourist area. The rooms are refurbished. What struck us as odd was the 5-EUR-daily charge for air-conditioning (the rooms especially under the roof might be quite hot in summer), the dreary reading room and the more 80s-style breakfast, which, compared to other hotels in tourist areas is no longer state of the art in our eyes. All in all a conveniently located hotel with very friendly drivers to and from the hotel's parking lot and a very modern and cozy sauna/steam room area.

  Beautiful stay very close to the heart of town, beside the church. Easily walkable from the train station (15 mins + time to get sidetracked at all the cute photo spots!) If you are bringing large luggage, be aware that you'll be bumping along cobblestone streets. The laundry facilities are not available 24 hrs a day, so if you intend to use those, just check in what the current hours are. The restaurant is a great place to eat, with many delicious options. The provided breakfast buffet is extensive & very beautifully presented.

  Excellent hotel and location. The restaurant is excellent with wonderful food and desert.The special bonus is a very nice waiter who speaks very good portuguese.
