    A wonderful hotel

    rating19 Dec 2025

We stayed at this hotel for four nights to visit the Christmas markets in and around Stuttgart. The location is very convenient, practically in the city center. We walked to all the markets, but only drove to the Mercedes Museum. The hotel has its own paid parking, which is recommended to reserve in advance, which we did, but we arrived one evening and found all the spaces taken. However, the man at reception (unfortunately, I didn't get his name) quickly helped us resolve this issue by telling us where we could park in the nearest lot. As compensation for the inconvenience, we were waived for three days of hotel parking, for which we are extremely grateful. The breakfasts are very good, and the rooms are comfortable. We highly recommend this hotel.

    Good central hotel

    rating11 Dec 2024

I was slightlly dubious about this hotel after reading the reviews but we had a good experience. We got the S2 train from the airport and got off at Stadtmitte which is just around the corner from the hotel. The hotel is just off the main shopping area so there are lots of places to get food and drinks nearby. It wsa also within walking distance of the massive christmas market (this was one of the reason I chose it).On first view the inside of the hotel looks quite dated - lots of dark wood everywhere. I asked for a non-smoking room after reading previous reviews but was told all the rooms were non-smoking. Reception staff were pleasant and helpful. We were given a room at the front of the hotel on the first floor. On the way up, the hallway carpet looked threadbare but on closer inspection if was just a very strange patterm that made it look like that,The room and bathroom were spacious and clean but again a bit dated with the wood effect, although peerfectly adequte. Free bottles of water were provided every day.I'd read reviews saying the front of the hotel was very noisy overnight but we didn't hear excessive noise. However, we were staying midweek rather than at the weekend which may have made a difference. The windows also seem to be pretty new so maybe this has improved the noise issues people have mentioned? We didn't have breakfast at the hotel (16 euros per person) instead we went to the bakery at the end of the street that had a seating area. Their food was much cheaper and they had lenty of choice. The only issue that we had was that the wifi was open (no code required) which meant that it didn't meet the secruity standards for my work computer so I struggled to attend an important meeting.Overall all the staff were pleasant and helpfulsn we enjoyed our stay

Excellent hotel in a great location with newly renovated, spacious rooms

    rating03 Jul 2024

A great hotel, in a great location, with creature comforts. The staff were very welcoming upon arrival and outlined all the hotel offerings including breakfast, which was a little limited, but there are some great cafes nearby to have a delicious breakfast, so I'd suggest going out rather than staying in.The room I had was very spacious, with a very comfortable king-size single bed. The linen was plentifully and relatively new. The windows opened, which allowed for plenty of natural ventilation. There was also an excellent split system heating and cooling unit l that worked extremely well. The room also had a small fridge and a complimentary bottle of water. The hotel had clearly recently been refurbished but still retained some of its 1970s vintage charm. Everything worked exceptionally well, and the hallways were wide, light, and bright. The bathroom was a shock, funny but in excellent condition. The water pressure was great and the light exceptional with a shaving mirror, always appreciated by any man travelling. The window also opened, too.I'd highly recommend this hotel

Worst hotel ever - avoid at all costs!

    rating25 Jun 2024

Worst hotel ever. Reminded me of a prison cell. Do not stay here. It’s so dated and run down. Very grotty, looks like it hasn’t been updated since at least 1970! Ok it is central but it’s up a dingy street. Next to a loud pub. Avoid at all costs! Do not stay here!
