  Average staff but rude night staff

  Overall the stay was acceptable and most of the staff we interacted with were professional and helpful and the hotel was clean and comfortable. Unfortunately, the experience with the night staff member was very disappointing and left a negative impression.Late at night there was a very loud argument happening outside the hotel. I briefly looked out of the window to see what was going on. A few minutes later the night staff member came to our room and accused us of making noise and told us to be quiet. We had not made any noise at all.Instead of investigating the obvious disturbance happening outside, he wrongly blamed us and approached the situation in a rude and unprofessional manner. It felt like he simply made an assumption rather than dealing with the actual issue. This was frustrating and unnecessary, and not the level of service you would expect from hotel staff.I travel to Stuttgart two to three times a year, but this experience has unfortunately put me off staying at this hotel again in the future.

  Room not bigger than a monastery cell

  For 120 EUR/night, one would expect a room slightly bigger than a monastery cell, functioning WiFi (in my room 435 the signal strength was equal to nill), and at least one glass for tooth washing - there was none. The general flaire is that 1970s are still going on.The bed was OK, breakfast included in price. It's not fair saying at Booking. com there is a parking, but not that is is not included in the price.

  Great value, central location, and a pleasant stay

  We chose Novum Hotel Boulevard Stuttgart City for our trip to watch the Stuttgart–Celta football match. Several fans, including ourselves, picked this hotel because of its central location, good connections, and above all, its fair price.At first, I was a bit hesitant because of some negative reviews I had read here on TripAdvisor. However, I am happy to say that our experience was very good. As soon as we arrived, we found several Celta supporters doing their check-in, and the two receptionists were very kind, making an effort to understand my not-so-perfect English.Our double room was simple but correct: just what we needed for two nights. The most important things were all there — clean, comfortable bed and pillows, and above all, quiet and peaceful. The included breakfast was varied and sufficient, nothing fancy but more than enough to start a day of sightseeing.What stood out most was the friendliness, cleanliness, and comfort at a reasonable price, right in the center of Stuttgart. Sometimes negative reviews make you doubt your choice, but in this case, I’m glad to say we definitely made the right one.Also worth mentioning: the breakfast starting at 6:30 a.m. was a big help when you have an early flight to catch.Thanks for making our stay in Stuttgart enjoyable!

  Rooms were dated, carpets were dirty and worn, matresses and pillows were extremerly old and multi used. Even though we had paid for a comfort room, they gave us a standard one at first and we asked to change. The receptionist was quite helpful. In their defence, the rooms were cleaned well and towels were changed every day.Very poor breakfast, too. Breakfast room was also dated, with word dirty carpet. First two days, coffee machine was broke. Good location though, but I would not recommend it.

  Best avoided if staying longer than one night

  Booked for 5 nights, refused the first room, second wasn’t much better. This hotel is spread across at least two blocks bridged by an interlink. The rooms are old, tired, with very small bath tubs. The furniture was damaged and the mattress on my half of the bed was U shaped and horrible. It was loud, all night long, internal and external. The AC blew hot air only and the shower space was just large enough to get in. On the upside it was clean, the house keeping and breakfast staff working very hard. Outside the hotel is an absolute mess, night drinkers, kebab and shisha bars. Not worth writing much more. This place is not interested in negative reviews or in addressing any of its short comings. Don’t be fooled by the photos. Look at the traveler photos instead.
