    Soulless but handy location

    rating24 Apr 2026

Comfortable enough rooms but the hotel is soulless. Seems to be used mostly for business conferences. Handy location across from the train station, but area is very sketchy and there are always police around. Overrated

Certainly paid a high price per night considering that this hotel thinks it is more than it is. Staff at the front desk is a bit stiff. The hotel lobby and rooms a a bit tired. The room was dark and weirdly laid out. On site parking is convenient. Will not go back and cannot recommend to others. Angelika Neff, Marketing at Steigenberger Graf Zeppelin, responded to this review Dear Sydney,Thank you for sharing your feedback with us.We hope you enjoyed your time in Stuttgart in general and regret the hotel was not to your liking. Even more it is our pleasure to read that at least the downtown location was convinient for you.We wish you all the best.SincerelyStefan SchärComplex General ManagerSteigenberger Graf Zeppelin

    Well Located and Comfortable

    rating28 Dec 2025

My husband and I stayed at the Steigenberger Hotel for 3 nights over the Christmas break. We chose this hotel as we had enjoyed the Steigenberger in Frankfurt a couple of years ago.The only downside to the stay was that by arriving via the Train Station across the road (which you would think convenient) is actually quite a trek through a building site.Apparently this construction work has been going on for years with no sign of completion, so don’t expect improvement anytime soon.We booked a Junior Suite, which we found to be spacious and comfortable with a beautiful bathroom (and a view of aforementioned building site). The breakfast offering in the restaurant was delightful and the ambience so Christmassy. The staff were helpful and friendly, so all in all, we had a great stay and can confidently recommend the hotel. There is a Brasserie attached to the hotel however, we were not able to catch it when it was open, so we used a fantastic steak restaurant a few doors down which served very healthy, well cooked meals. The hotel is also close to the main shopping mall and the underground railway - so location is fantastic. Angelika Neff, Marketing at Steigenberger Graf Zeppelin, responded to this review Dear esteemed Sue-Murray,Thank you for your kind and detailed evaluation as well as our loyalty to Steigenberger. It is a pleasure for us that you enjoyed your stay at the Steigenberger Graf Zeppelin. We wish you all the best for 2026 and hope to welcoming you back soon. With best regardsStefan SchärComplex General Manager Steigenberger Graf Zeppelin

Very nice hotel in a great location

    rating12 Dec 2025

Stayed here for a week with our daughter and son-in-law. Had two Deluxe rooms, which are quite spacious! And King beds, which were a must for both couples. Beds were quite comfortable. Everything was very clean, check-in was very smooth. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The hotel is within a decent walking distance to the Weihnachtsmarkt, which was delightful to visit. It's right across the street from the Bahnhof (train station), which is still under construction. Quick, easy access to public transportation with S- and U-bahns available on the corner. On a very busy street, but the windows were very well insulated, so noise was minimal. One thing we would like to point out is the breakfast is rather pricey. For four of us, it cost 130 euros, which seemed much too high for a buffet setup. We did not see a price anywhere, so it was a bit of a sticker shock. But everything was quite tasty. After our first time, we looked elsewhere when getting something for the morning. The shower floor can get rather slippery, so be aware of that. Both rooms had bathtubs, which our daughter relished after a long day of travel. The rooms have a Nespresso machine and a hot water kettle. There was no regular coffee available in the room though, just the Nespresso which made very small cups of espresso. They did provide tea bags, which I didn't notice until the last day, but I'd brought my own, so not a big deal. The bar / lounge in the lobby area was comfortable and relaxing. We took advantage of that a couple nights, after long days of walking around the city. Our last night there, the front desk was good enough to order a taxi for a 3 AM departure the next morning for four people and quite a bit of luggage. While we were outside waiting, a taxi drive approached us saying he was the one ordered. We scoffed at the size of his vehicle, although he was saying he could get all our luggage in it. A gentleman from the front desk must have seen the exchange and came out to speak to him and realized he was not from the company they'd arranged a ride with, which was very much appreciated. All in all, a very good stay, and I'd recommend it. Angelika Neff, Marketing at Steigenberger Graf Zeppelin, responded to this review Dear esteemed Guest,Thank you for sharing your very detailed feedback with us and other travellers. It is a pleasure to hear that you enjoyed your overall time in Stuttgart and especially benefitted from our service qualities and the downtown location. Don’t recommend to stay in this hotel

    rating11 Dec 2025

We were staying here for 1 night. Room was duty, dust was everywhere, mattress was old and with a lot of stains. Breakfast cost 37 euro and it for sure doesn’t worth it. It’s shame even for 3 stars hotel to provide service like this. And for 5 star hotel is not acceptable at all. Angelika Neff, Marketing at Steigenberger Graf Zeppelin, responded to this review Dear Wanderer,it seems to us, that your rating should be for another hotel. We are not rated as a five star hotel and also have different breakfast options. None of them costs 37 euros. Therefore please delete your feedback or copy it to the hotel you ment.It would be a pleasure to welcoming you one day also to our Steigenberger Graf Zeppelin. With best regardsStefan SchärComplex General Manager Steigenberger Graf Zeppelin
