Great hotel, would definitely go back there, location was perfect, everywhere was walkable, hotel has a pool ( but very cold ) but my husband and son still used it, the towels are supplied.staff are fab, always had smile and very helpful, breakfast was good, rooms are great with a balcony and the roof terrace is amazing, what a view of the acropolis, especially at night when it was lit up, plenty of table and chairs to chill and the view from there is amazing too.Kettle in room and they supply bottled water from reception which is very cheap.

Perfect stay in a little gem of a hotel

    rating05 Apr 2026

We recentltly spent 4 nights at the Acropolis Hill Hotel and what a little gem this turned out to be.We booked a room with a Philopappos View. Our room was located on the 6th floor and we were stunned to see that we had a perfect view of the Acropolis. We arrived late to the hotel at 11.30pm after a delayed flight. Getting to the hotel was a little complicated as we found out when we arrived at Syntagma Square that the red line to Acropolis Metro Station or Syngru was closed after 21.00 for on going engineering works. The metro was easy enough to navigate from the airport and cost 9 euros, one way. We ended up walking to the hotel from Syntagma Square which during the day when you have your bearings wasn't a problem but after a long journey, with heavy luggage and steepish hill to walk almost finished us off.The really friendly night receptionist, greeted us warmly and directed us to a perfect all night eatery where we could feed our hunger and take onboard a lovely ice cold lager. The room was perfect for our needs. The bed was the comfiest I have slept in for a long time and particularly welcome after a long day exploring Athens. Some of the furniture was a little worn but didnt detract from a really comfortable stay.Breakfast was perfect for our needs with a small hot selection complemented by a vast continental selection. There was plenty of choice and good quality products. The location of the hotel is perfect and for the duration of our stay we walked everywhere without difficulty. There is a main promenade, type path, Dionysiou Areopagitou, which runs past the base of the Acroplis and leads through to Thiseio which if used as the main link to the sights you can avoid a lot of the steep climb up to the hotel. All the main sights are approximately a 20 minute walk from the hotel. The location of the hotel was perfecr for us, away from the touristy areas which meant we got good value for money and authentic Greek cuisine in the local tavernas. The hotel is in the Koukai district with an abundance of late night bars and eateries. Restaurants close late, approximately 1-2am or stay open 24 hours a day, there's even a 24 hour bakery, which is another level in treats and baked delights.Although the hotel is located at the top of a steep hill from Koukaki, replenished with some amazing food and good lager from local eateries we had no difficulty with the location, however those with mobility issues would find this a challenge. The Acropolis Hill Hotel, was a total delight, perfect for our needs as a 50 something year old couple and we would have no hesitation in returning in the future.

Amazing Gem with Eleni as the diamond in the crown.

    rating04 Mar 2026

My husband and I went to Athens for my 50th birthday week. Tui suggested this lovely hotel and we stayed for a week. The location is so great to explore Athens. the hotel and the entire team was lovely and would not hesitate to go the extra mile to help and assist with anything.Special shout out to Eleni, she made our holiday so memorable. I have been in touch with a few weeks before we arrived and she booked us a Bazukia concert with our two most favourite Greek singers, amazing restaurants she suggested and booked for us, a trip to Delphi, and the list goes on and on. I even received a bottle of wine for my Birthday. She is a super star and wow wow wow. its always the little things that makes the difference and you guys got it. well done. we have decided to come stay with you again very soon.

Wish we could have stayed longer here

    rating21 Feb 2026

We stayed for seven nights at the Acropolis Hill Hotel and enjoyed it so much we would have stayed longer if we could. The reception staff were all very helpful - in particular a young lady who spoke excellent English and took time and trouble in response to our polite request for a view by finding us a room that was perfect. Cleanliness was of a high standard, towels were changed daily, the bed was comfortable, and there was very little noise from neighbouring rooms (ok, one guest did giggle a lot, but should we begrudge her being happy?) The hotel doesn't have a restaurant as such - no evening meals; you can order out if you want to eat in - but breakfast was good, fresh and varied and served in a pleasant room overlooking the small swimming pool. The hotel's location is ideal, only a short walk in one direction from the Acropolis area with its many ancient temples and wonderful Acropolis Museum, and in the other direction - turning right out of the hotel entrance and walking a few yards to a long flight of steps - is the downward route to the many shops and restaurants (and a veritable Aladdin's Cave charity shop in Drakou). One word of caution - the streets in the neighbourhood are very steep; but having said that, my husband and I are both elderly (79 and 82) and managed to climb them, albeit slowly. And if we didn't fancy the exercise, the Uber taxi service in the city is very reasonably priced.
