    Not Great

    rating26 May 2026

The website pictures of the hotel in the rooms look nothing like it. The room we had was very old and dated. You have to drag luggage up multiple flights of stairs. The person at the desk requested that we leave our key on the counter when we left the hotel. You were literally a dozen keys on the counter. When we came back in, no one was at the front desk. Anybody could have come in taking a and gotten into the room. I would not recommend staying here.

Great location but far from great

    rating10 May 2026

This hotel has a great location And is within walking distance of pretty well everything. Be aware that if you have anything other than a very light suitcase, you have 25 steps to haul your luggage up before you reach the elevator (and there is no one there to assist you with this. )The room was not great, large reddish colour stain on the headboard behind my bed. The beds were two singles with a piece of foam, put on top each of them that didn’t quite reach the perimeter of the bed, and if you sat on the side of the bed, you felt like you were gonna fall onto the floor as it sagged. Breakfast was not very good, basically a bunch of pastries that were inedible with some scrambled eggs. Best thing about the breakfast was that you could have fresh squeeze orange juice. Staff from the counter was generally helpful and friendly. I would not return here. Left after one night – unacceptable standard and zero follow-up

    rating17 Apr 2026

We had booked and prepaid a 7-night stay at Acropolis Museum Hotel (28 Feb – 7 March), but ended up leaving after just one night. Unfortunately, the experience fell so far below expectations that staying longer simply wasn’t an option.Upon arrival, we were told we had been “upgraded” to a Deluxe Double Room. If this was indeed an upgrade, I would be very concerned about the standard of the regular rooms. The room itself had multiple issues:The bathroom door handle was loose and repeatedly fell offLighting in the bathroom was extremely poor, and ventilation didn’t workWhile showering, you could clearly hear conversations from the breakfast areaOverall, the room felt worn and poorly maintainedThe noise level was by far the worst part. The hotel is located on a busy street, and the room had virtually no sound insulation. Traffic noise continued day and night, making it very difficult to sleep. While a flat-screen TV was provided as advertised, it only offered local channels, which felt quite limited for an international hotel. All of this stands in stark contrast to how the hotel presents itself, claiming to offer “modern amenities and comforts” following renovations. That was simply not our experience. What makes this even more disappointing is what happened afterwards. I contacted the hotel to raise these issues and request compensation, given that we had prepaid for a full week but only stayed one night. Apart from a brief acknowledgment saying the matter would be forwarded, there has been no meaningful response.A hotel can have shortcomings—but ignoring guests afterwards is far worse. In summary:Misleading description of room standardPoor maintenance and basic facilitiesSevere noise issuesCompletely unresponsive customer serviceWe left after one night and received no proper follow-up. I would not recommend this hotel. Donara Umudumova, Guest Services / Front Office at Acropolis Museum Boutique Hotel, responded to this review Thanks for staying with us. We appreciate your feedback!

An experience that exceeded all my expectations

    rating09 Apr 2026

Firstly I want to prefix this review that am a graduate from an elite School of Hotel administration and worked in EVERY member of the staff was friendly, courteous, helpful, hospitable and eager to create a special experience for me, and from what I witnessed, for the other guests as well. Breakfast was fresh, plentiful and of excellent quality. The hotel is a classical building with a lot of personality and special touches. The bed was incredibly comfortable(Cocomat bed) and I consistently got a good nights sleep. I also felt very safe staying there. The location couldn’t be beat. The Koukaki neighborhood is a culinary Mecca, plus all the major sites of Athens are in walking distance. I hope I have the opportunity to stay there in the future!
