The hotel is located in the historical triangle of Athens, only 50 m from Syntagma Square and close to all the main sights and monuments of the city, including the Parliament, Plaka and the Temple of Olympian Zeus and the business centre. Restaurants, bars, links to public transport, the bus and train stations, an underground station and shopping opportunities can all be found in the vicinity. Athens International Airport is about 30 km away.

Facility

24 single rooms and 107 double rooms are located on 10 storeys and can be reached by 2 lifts. English- and German-speaking staff at the reception desk in the lobby are ready to assist you with check-in and check-out. Amenities include a cloakroom, baggage storage service, safe and currency exchange service. Wireless internet access (for a fee) is provided in public areas. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. Wheelchair-accessible facilities are available. There are also a number of shops that make for great strolling and browsing. Additional facilities include a TV room. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage or in the car park. Air conditioning and individually adjustable heating ensure that rooms maintain comfortable temperatures. A balcony or terrace is a standard feature of some rooms.     Improve room comforts

    Exc quiet location. Atmosphere friendly and clean. Efficient and reception staff attentive. Room was good but not great because there were few surfaces to put my things on. Nowhere to sit comfortably- there were 2 seats, both uncomfortable. So had to lay on bed , not ideal. Shower etc., fine

    We had been staying in another hotel but when we returned to Athens from the islands we found the prices were just too much so we looked elsewhere and found the Astor near Syntagma. Prices were more reasonable and staff very friendly and helpful so we swapped hotels. Had a lovely room (509) with balcony and lovely views of the Acropolis. Breakfasts on the top floor were excellent. Nice place to stay and much more convenient than our previous hotel. Will consider staying here again when we next visit Greece (one of our favourite countries).

    Pros: Good location, spectacular view of the Acropolis from the top floor breakfast and bar room. Comfy bed and clean room. Breakfast was ok.Cons: Avoid Room 603, the bathroom was disgraceful, there was no towel rails, toilet roll holder, no shower screen or curtain, no holder for the hand held shower (you had to drape it over the taps). We checked with our friends who were staying in another room which had all the necessary bathroom accessories. If we were not so tired from our travels we would have asked to be shifted to another room. Fortunately on our return to Athens after Island hopping we are staying elsewhere.     I had a fantastic stay at Aston Hotel in Athens. The hotel was exceptionally clean, with spotless rooms and beautifully maintained facilities throughout. Its central location made it incredibly convenient to explore all the main attractions, shops, and restaurants Athens has to offer. The staff were absolutely brilliant—friendly, helpful, and always willing to go the extra mile to make the stay special. One of the highlights was the amazing view of the Acropolis, which made the experience even more memorable. I highly recommend Aston Hotel for anyone visiting Athens!     I stayed there with business associates and I regret every second of it. Although the hotel knew the reason for my visit, they placed me in a floor full of university students, from a country in the Levant known for their bad tourist attitude. This group of students was walking half-naked in the corridors, wrapped only in towels, screaming, laughing, SMOKING.... despite the double doors in the room (I assume two doors, to deal with the very poor sound insulation), the smoke penetrated the sleeping area.I had to complain half a dozen times for the front desk, and warn them of consequences if they don't do anything, for them to consider switching me to another floor, where things were actually civilized.Roof garden has very weird serving hours. Their basic rooms are perhaps the smallest I've seen in a hotel. Its location does NOT warrant a stay, unless you really don't care about everything I've said above.
