    This was the worse experience I've ever had at a hotel. We couldn't get in the building when we arrived. We had to wait outside until a hotel guest came and opened the door from the inside. Then, when we got to the 6th floor at the desk, the lady said she was on her way out and when we leave in the morning no one will be there. Furthermore, the AC in the room (302) was not working. We had to sleep with the door open and listening to the sounds of the city kept me up all night. It was an absolute nightmare!!Rooms: 1/5Service: 2/5Location: 2/5Rooms: Clean.Food & drinks: Nearby.     Very good value! Rooms clean and comfortable. Front desk staff excellent! Very helpful and made RELIABLE transportation arrangements. Recommended near-by greek restaurants and provided local directions.. Hotel was in contact with me several times prior to my arrival to be sure everything would be as promised. We arrived early, but they were able to accommodate us with another room since ours was not yet ready. I huge PLUS since we had tour commitments. I'd' stay here again due to it's central location and service.

    Misleading Ad

    The room was NOT as seen on the website. It was dark, light bulbs missing, but clean. We asked for another room, but they said they were full. The girl at the frontdesk, Fio, was very helpful, despite my many questions! If we were to get another room, there would be an UP charge. Not sure about staying there again......Again, the websiter on tripadvisor was definitely VERY Misleading! We were on the 5th floor, so noise was at a minimum, that was a plus!

    Everything You Need on a Budget

    This hotel has everything you need in a basic room. The bed for a couple, for us, was two twins pushed together, that really weren’t very comfortable, but it worked. The WI-FI was spotty, but worked. The hotel is in a very busy downtown section of Athens, but the room is soundproof. There are some excellent local spots to eat very close and we felt safe walking. The walk to the tourist part of the city is a good 25 minutes, 30-35 to Acropolis. About a 5 min walk to Metro but rough walk with suitcases. Hotel staff helpful and friendly.

    No bar or breakfast service (presumably a lingering result of Covid) but room clean, comfortable and well-provided with kettle, fridge, hotplate and some cutlery/crockery, so it was not difficult to make one's own breakfast. Equally, bars, restaurants and 24-hour supermarkets within a few minutes'walk. Friendly reception staff; on a busy street, but not unduly noisy; excellent value for money.
