Location

The city hotel is centrally located and is situated close to the Lycabettus hills and the archaeological museum. A diverse range of shopping facilities, restaurants, bars and nightclubs are all located within a short walk from the hotel. Public transport leaves from directly in front of the hotel.

Facility

191 rooms, including 7 suites, 32 single rooms and 151 double rooms, are located on 7 storeys and can be reached by lift. The friendly staff at the reception desk are happy to answer any questions. Amenities available at the hotel include a baggage storage service, safe, currency exchange service, cash machine and drinks machine. Wireless internet access (for a fee) is provided in public areas. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. Wheelchair-accessible facilities are available. A number of shops, including a supermarket and souvenir shop, are great for shopping or just browsing. Additional amenities include a TV room and a library. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage or in the car park (for a fee). Rooms

Rooms are equipped with air conditioning and central heating. A balcony is among the standard features of some rooms.     I’m currently staying here with a tour group (Gate 1). I would have given this hotel maybe 2 stars, 3 would have been generous. Location is poor. The rooms are blah. The reason I am giving it 1 star is the pettiness of the staff. The first night we had water bottles and coffee and creamer packets next to the coffee machine. The second day we had neither, so I went to the reception desk. They said it was only for the first day. I thought they meant the water, which was fine. It was the coffee packets, as well. The coffee packets that probably cost them the equivalent of $.05-$.10 each. I had to argue with them and go to the bar to get coffee packets and they handled it very poorly. They said it was customary and argued/mansplained. I have traveled the world and never experienced this. I’ve been to Central Asia, all over Eastern Europe, the Middle East, Northern Africa… just about every obscure location you could go, and I’ve never heard of restrictions on coffee packets for the first day only. Thank goodness we’re leaving this crappy hotel tomorrow with its lousy location and stingy service. I refuse to spend another dime here. We would have had dinner downstairs this evening, but based on principle… Absolutely not. Their refusal to dole out less than $.25 worth of coffee packets cost them €50 at least.     They provide face cloths, bathroom has all you need as does the actual room. Completely a nice functional space for a long stay. Good location to several restaurant and residential communities. They provide individual toiletries and the hairdryer works well! So don't let the looks of it fool you. The room amenities are a plus all round. It's a hotel worth staying in.

    We stayed at the charming Zafoilia Hotel in the city center. It’s a cute place, though some rooms faced a brick wall, so we asked to switch. They kindly upgraded us to a top-floor room with a spacious balcony—amazing! The city buzzes with life, old buildings, friendly people, and busy streets filled with cars and buses. I felt completely at home.

    Location good, on a main road (down side, a lot of traffic noise.) Clean hotel, friendly and helpful staff. Value decent, rooms nice. Amenities nice. Roof top closed for winter (we went in March - not that cold) we really just wanted to see the view.
