AthensWas is the only hotel in its class situated on the best-known and most beautiful pedestrian walkway in Athens: Dionysiou Areopagitou street. The walkway skirts the sacred rock of the Acropolis and the Parthenon, the city’s most important and awe-inspiring classical monument and the emblem of Athens since antiquity. It also connects the New Acropolis Museum, recognized internationally as one of the most beautiful and fascinating museums in the world, with the Odeon of Herodes Atticus, Athens’ superb Roman-era theatre, which hosts concerts, operas and theatrical performances every summer, gracing the Athens Festival with its splendid aura.

Facility

English- and French-speaking staff at the reception desk in the lobby are ready to assist you with check-in and check-out. Amenities include a baggage storage service and a safe. Wireless internet access is provided in public areas. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. There are a number of shops as well. A garden provides extra space for rest and relaxation in the open air. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage or in the car park. Other services include a 24-hour security service, a babysitting service, a childcare service, a car hire service, medical assistance, a transfer service, a laundry service, a hairdresser, a coin-operated laundry and a hotel shuttle bus. Rooms

Central heating ensures that rooms maintain comfortable temperatures. Guests can enjoy the view onto the street from a balcony or terrace. All rooms are carpeted and include a king-size bed and a sofa bed. Extra beds can be requested. A safe, a minibar and a desk are also available. Guests will also find a tea/coffee station included among the standard features. A telephone, a flatscreen television and WiFi provide all the essentials for a comfortable holiday. Guests can take advantage of the nightly turndown service. Slippers are included. A hairdryer and bathrobes are available in the bathrooms, which are equipped with a bathtub.     What a great little boutique hotel! We stayed here for 2 nights while exploring Athens with friends after a cruise. The staff was exceptional. They carted our luggage to the hotel from the adjacent street from the cab, both upon arrival and departure. The restaurants they recommended were outstanding. The hotel is right in the center of plaka within walking distance to the Acropolis/Parthenon, Zeus' Gate and other landmarks, while also being a block from all of the shops and eateries. The view from the top floor restaurant shouldn't be missed. We'd stay there again in a heartbeat.     Perfect Location for all the Sites

    AthensWas is located in the old streets of the city centre just 400 yards from the entrance to the Acropolis and close to all the important tourist sites and many restaurants. The hotel arranged a reasonably priced taxi to pick us up from the airport. On arrival we were warmly greeted and very pleased with our 4th floor spacious room with balcony. Our room and the whole hotel is attractively decorated in a modern contempory style. All necessary features including fridge, hair dryer and water were inluded in the room. The king sized bed was super comfortable and the large walk-in shower enlivening.The a la carte breakfast was all prepared to order and served by friendly staff with stunning views of the Acropolis from the sixth floor restaurant. We also enjoyed the evening tasting menu while viewing the uninterupted views of the Acropolis light up beautifully against the night sky.
