  Overall, we had an excellent experience and would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting. Every staff member we met was lovely, and really made our experience in the city special (they are very accommodating and will treat you like family). Our views in the hotel were amazing and we would definitely stay here again.   Brilliant location, budget type hotel.

  Overall good, purely because the location is fantastic.The staff were lovely.The hotel itself is a bit dated and it is noisy in the room, from other guests and also being above the kitchen/dining area. I recommend this hotel if you prioritise location and using this as just somewhere to sleep but not for a high quality stay.   Fabulous location and great wee hotel

  The hotel was in a great location. The hotel is lovely and clean. The beds are so comfy and we had a terrace which was nice to sit out on. The shower is great. There is a hairdryer which is fine for short and/or fine hair, if you have longer or thicker hair it might take a bit longer to dry. The rooms are small but ideal for a short break. You have a tv, fridge and air conditions which worked really well.   What a view

  Very nice family run hotel, they couldn’t do enough for us. It is central to everything ancient and has a rooftop view of the acropolis where we could go for wine and cheese and watch the sunset. It is also central to many fine restaurants and places to go for a drink.   Mixed Experience

  I recently stayed at this hotel and had a mixed experience overall. On the positive side, the staff were exceptionally friendly and polite, creating a welcoming atmosphere. The location was excellent—within walking distance to major shopping areas and Monastiraki, which made exploring the city very convenient.The rooms were clean and spacious; however, sound insulation seemed to be an issue as I could occasionally hear toilets flushing in adjacent rooms. One major drawback was the mini fridge, which unfortunately did not function properly—it felt more like a microwave.Breakfast was available at an additional charge, but I found it underwhelming due to limited options. The WiFi connection was also unreliable, forcing me to rely on cellular data at times.The building itself appears to be older, which could explain the extremely small elevator. While understandable, it was still slightly inconvenient. Another aspect that detracted from the experience was the requirement to leave the room key at the front desk every time we exited the hotel—a policy that felt outdated and inconvenient.After discovering other nearby hotels with rooftop amenities and similar pricing, I would likely consider alternative accommodations in the future. While the stay was acceptable overall, the value for the price paid did not meet expectations. Nikos G, General Manager at Athos Hotel, responded to this review Thank you for choosing our Hotel for your stay as well as for expressing your opinion.Further to your remark please kindly note that all rooms have soundproff massive wooden doors and all bathrooms are located on the opposite side of each room's adjucent walls therefore there is no bathroom next any neighbouring room's wall.Our Mini bars are suitable to maintain liquids and not to be used as fridges for maintaining low temperatures for food.During the last period and during your stay we have added an additional high speed network in order to compesate for the city center lines which occasionally cause delays.Our Wifi speed test score is very High considering that we have a 200 mbps network.best regards
