A Perfect 5* Stay Thanks to Nikolina!

    rating26 Apr 2026

A Perfect 5* Stay Thanks to Nikolina! I had an absolutely flawless one-night stay at Breeze Boutique Hotel in Athens, and it truly felt like a 5-star experience from start to finish. The hotel itself is charming and impeccably nice, with a prime location that's perfect for exploring the city. Everything felt convenient and vibrant right outside the door. But the real star was Nikolina at reception! Her kindness and helpfulness went above and beyond; she anticipated every need, made me feel instantly welcome, and turned what could have been a quick overnight into something truly special. Nikolina's warm smile, proactive assistance, and genuine care made my stay perfect. I couldn't have asked for more. The breakfast was fair and satisfying, with fresh options to kick off the day right. If you're looking for a boutique gem with exceptional personal service, Breeze is it. Thank you, Breeze Hotel, Nikolina and team. I'll be back! Modern Boutique

    rating03 Nov 2025

To be honest I was ready to dislike this hotel before ever having stayed there. The accommodation was part of our package trip to Greece and initially they had stated we’d be staying at another hotel. About a month before hand, they changed it on us. Now as they noted they had the right to do so for whatever reasons and this wasn’t the first time that this had happened to us. At least this time we were advised in advance as we had one time earlier, and not at the arrival airport as we had on another occasion. Both hotels were comparable and in the same general area which was not an issue, however the original one did have something the Breeze Boutique did not, a roof top bar and restaurant and roof top pool. Now I doubt we would have had a meal there aside from the included breakfast but the chance for a dip after a long day of sight seeing and/or a quiet beer in the evenings did sound good. It’s probably a good thing that I liked the Breeze Boutique as we ended up staying there three times for a total of four nights out of our total nine nights in Greece. The Breeze Boutique is a small hotel of only seventy rooms on ten floors located about a five-minute walk from Omonoia Square and in a cluster of several other neighbouring hotels. There are also several restaurants to fit almost all tastes and budgets within an easy walk. The area to the north of Omonia Square is often noted to be probably not the nicest looking especially when compared to the more touristy districts south of it. It is full of several cheap discount and electronic stores and evidence of some pockets of homeless in the side streets. In the daytime it is overall not too bad and with normal precautions even returning from a restaurant after dark should not be an issue. In fact at no time did we feel unsafe in the area.Check in was fast and simple, mind we were part of an expected package. Passport was briefly seen and key card issued. This became even faster the second- and third-times as our info was still on file from a few days earlier. There was a 2 Euro per night City Tax payable at check in. It should be noted that the hotel runs on a cashless system with signage to this effect at the check in. This means the 2 Euros must be paid by card. Hopefully the maids and wait staff accepted the cash we left as tips. The lobby was quite small, a fact noted one morning when a half dozen guests and their luggage trying to check out while we were waiting for a tour pick up completely overcrowded it. The lobby however was quite spacious compared to either of the elevators. The signage said they could handle three adults but the two of us without luggage were crammed together and with luggage had to take turns getting to our rooms. We had different rooms on each separate stay, on the second, fourth an eventually sixth floor. All the rooms were similar, small but okay for two persons. They were clean, obviously newly refurbished and well laid out. There were two twin beds pushed together to make a queen sized one. Extra bedding was available in the closet. My only complaint would be the mattress in all three rooms was not as firm as I’m used to but this was a minor inconvenience. There was ample closet space with enough hangers for both of us and an electronic safe large enough for a tablet and a DSLR. There were a couple of drawers, a mini fridge, desk and chair and bedside tables. There were several electrical outlets including one on each bedside table making overnight charging of phones easy. Mounted on the wall opposite was a large flat screen smart TV with several local and cable channels available. The bathroom was also small but well laid out and again newly refurbished. There was a glass enclosed shower stall with a rainfall showerhead. I had no issues with either hot water or water pressure at anytime during our stays. There was an ample supply of towels, replaced as needed and toiletries including shower gel and shampoo in dispensers and sewing kits etc. There was a notice beside the toilet to not deposit toilet paper in the toilet but in the covered receptacle beside it, which seems to be the case in many Greek hotels due to narrow pipes. Fortunately, this receptacle was emptied daily by the maid. Breakfast was included and served in a restaurant above the lobby. This room appeared to be open only for breakfast. It was the standard hotel fare, counters full of assorted pastries, breads, cereals, fruits, and cold cuts and steam trays with eggs. There was a good selection of assorted juices and dispenser for water great for refilling water bottles at. There were also a couple of coffee dispensers and even a supply of Greek Coffee. The only staff we really had contact with were the front desk, the maid, and the breakfast staff. All of them were friendly, polite and professional in their dealings with us.As I said while not my initial choice, the Breeze Boutique earned my approval and I would stay here again and/or suggest it to others. Hotel is in a good location ... just 3 minute walk from the Omonia station.Hotel's buffet breakfast was very good. The food doesn't really change, but it was tasty and something good to look forward every morning. The young lady at the lobby welcomed us and was nice to my young children. Rooms were clean.
