    A truly horrifying experience. Everything negative mentioned in previous reviews is absolutely true, and even worse in reality.Moldy bathroom door!!!!! broken bathroom phone and exposed cables!!!The hotel is dirty, outdated, and poorly maintained. The furniture, wall paint, and doors are old and broken, and the balcony door was disgustingly sticky and unclean.As for the service, I can confidently say it was terrible. The staff was arrogant, unprofessional, and extremely disrespectful.This hotel completely ruined our vacation. You can easily find many better options in the same price range.Please don't stay at the Congo Palace Hotel.

    We visited this hotel with our school. It was amazing. The room was really huge. There was great views of the pool and the city. We had a great time. The reception hall was very beautiful. The breakfast was nice too. Highly recommend it! The pool place was very nice.

    Do not be fooled by the lobby…

    Unfortunately we were extremely disappointed by our recent stay at the Congo Palace. Rooms are comparable to a dorm room at best. We had to beg for towles as you are only allowed one per person. No extra toilet paper (had to go to the front desk in my pajamas as they were short on staff), no shampoo/conditioner (they had an all in one hand, body, hair liquid), if room is facing the beach note there is a busy main street in front of the hotel and the noise is similar to the Indy 500, esp late at night into early morning hours, we were charged for our stay upon check in vs check out, there is no where to purchase sundries, you must leave the hotel, a room that sleeps 3 means two twins pushed together and a roll away cot (super uncomfortable), lingering odor in the rooms that are extremely short on outlets. Would not recommend. Only saving grace was that the front staff was kind and friendly however we can not say the same for the housekeeping. Look elsewhere.

    Worse hotel ever

    Horrible service. Staff was rude, didn't have room ready and kept us waiting for 2 hours and gave us estimated time of 5 minutes. Rooms are old and dirty. Heard next to room every bit of conversation man was having on the phone. Noisy. Bed was extremely small and was told we would have king. NO PARKING, NO security. Don't stay there.

    Pleasant stay but hotel needs modernising

    This hotel suited our budget which was mid range. The Congo is situated perfectly near nice restaurants, pharmacy and the centre of Glyfada all within walking distance. The beach which is just opposite is a public one which offers NO sunbeds. Personally this was an issue for me as I don’t like putting my towel on the sand. We got a quick taxi to Voula beach and Vouligmeni beach which you pay 15€ for but this comes with beds and umbrellas & clean facilities ie, showers, changing rooms and WC. In a nutshell the Congo Palace has a great location in Glyfada. It’s clean with our room being cleaned daily but it is dated. Our family room had no natural light so it was very dark and was carpeted which I didn’t like. The pool is basic and could do with modernising too. Nice pool bar / restaurant though. Helpful staff, couldn’t fault them.
