  Disappointing Experience at Ergon Hotel

  My wife was a guest at this hotel when her bag was stolen inside the hotel restaurant during breakfast, while she was seated at the table. This was not a street incident — it happened within the hotel, in an area that guests naturally expect to be safe.What is most disturbing is the hotel’s reaction afterward. While management acknowledged that the theft occurred, they refused to take any responsibility, offered no assistance, no solution, and no compensation, and showed no real concern for guest safety.To make matters worse, a member of the restaurant staff openly admitted that similar thefts happen almost every day, which clearly indicates an ongoing security problem that the hotel is aware of but has failed to address.A hotel that knows this is happening regularly and still provides no security presence, no warnings to guests, and no accountability afterward is acting negligently.Guests deserve safety and basic responsibility from hotel management. Unfortunately, this hotel demonstrated neither. Stay alert — or better yet, choose somewhere that actually protects its guests. The restaurant where breakfast is served is part of our ground-floor Agora, which also functions as a delicatessen and food market open to the public. This is a core part of the Ergon concept and differs from a closed, private hotel restaurant. As such, there is a natural flow of guests and visitors throughout the day.We must also clarify that thefts are not a frequent occurrence at our property. This was an isolated incident and not indicative of an ongoing issue, as suggested. Statements implying that such incidents happen “almost every day” are simply not accurate.As with any restaurant, café, or public venue, guests remain responsible for their personal belongings while dining. Unfortunately, incidents of this nature can occur in any public space and in this case, the bag was under your personal supervision.We regret that this happened and sympathize with the inconvenience caused.   Ergon House is a wonderful boutique hotel in the heart of Athens. The rooms were the perfect size for a city break with comfortable beds and strong aircon. The staff were very nice snd helpful. The main restaurant was amazing! I had breakfast each morning and lunch there one day. The service in the restaurant, while very friendly, was a bit slow at times. The rooftop top bar each night was great! It has amazing views of the Acropolis and the pizza was wonderful. The manager always found me a table. I highly recommend this hotel for a short city break in Athens!   Well-designed boutique hotel with great breakfast

  We stayed at the XL room. The boutique hotel is on top of a restaurant/food market, but the hotel area is pretty separated and private. As many other reviews pointed out, the a-la-carte breakfast included was fantastic. The room was well and uniquely designed, clean, and well-maintained by housekeeping. The bed was pretty comfortable. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The location is very central. You can walk to anywhere easily. The slight issue I had was that the design is more on the aesthetic side and a bit less practical. For example, the sink is small and narrow and has no place to put any personal items. There is a TV on top of sofa bed with metal frame at bottom. The person slept there kept bumping their head on it. These are small things, but I think the designer should try to make the room easy to use in addition to looking good.Overall it is a very nice hotel.   Design hotel for foodies with central Athens location, short walking from sights

  Ergon House Athens is a design hotel and a well known food brand in Greece. They even have own shop at Athens airport!But the hotel - well managed, clean, great location in Athens with short distance from main sights and the best part of this hotel is the food since downstairs is deli where you have your breakfast if its included to the hotel and highly recommend it! One of the best hotel breakfast experiences ever had! I would love the visit them again and ofcourse try their other hotels as well.
