This beachside hotel is situated close to the historic town of Marathon in Attica. The hotel is 7 km from Marathon town centre, 4 km from the town of Nea Makri, 35 km from the centre of Athens and a 40-minute drive from Eleftherios Venizelos Airport.

540 non-smoking rooms are available to guests in a 4-storey main building and 2 auxiliary buildings. The multilingual staff at the reception desk in the lobby are ready to assist you with check-in and check-out. Amenities include a baggage storage service, a safe and a currency exchange service.     Unfortunately wasn't as described by provider. I would say this is tailored to the French visitor so you can feel very isolated if you are from any other nation. If you stay in the main building then you will have a better stay than in the Bungalows. The Bungalows really need some maintenance and som care and attention. Noice levels at night are at times unacceptable, bars close at midnight so you can expect noise till 1am, but 3 and 4 am is not acceptable for a family resort.

    We had an amazing stay at the Golden Coast. The only downside was that the French entertainment was separated from the rest, which felt wrong. However, the international team and the kids club were amazing! A special thanks to the team leader Wiktoria, Karim, Selma, and Georgia.Food you can find every day something different

    I stayed for 4 nights as a solo traveller in late May. This place is far bigger than I expected but overall was very good. I had a room in the main building, which was very modern and extremely cleanPositives:Space - Always plenty of room, sun loungers etc.Drinks -Good variety of drinks (including cocktails - this wasn't expected given what I'd read)Food - pretty good in general with a good range.Wi-Fi - excellent Wi-fi all over the resort, even accessible on parts of the beach.Staff - all friendly. As an English traveller I was concerned at previous reviews around French focus but all the staff spoke decent English and were able to help me.Beach - the beach is lovely and very easy to relax on with lots of sunbeds.Negatives:Food - Could be a bit repetitive if staying longer than I did.Meal times - This is a Greek thing potentially but lunch starting at 1pm and dinner at 7.30pm was a bit late for me and leads to a lot of people waiting and going at the same time.Pools - lovely pools but the lack of heating at the time I went made them pretty chilly.Overall this gave me everything I needed and exceeded my expectations. I will definitely be attending again.

    We spent two weeks at Golden Coast, we were given a room in the main building, the room was clean and had a sea view. We found the reception staff friendly and welcoming. The restaurant and bar staff were very nice too. The food was good with a reasonable selection at each meal. There was a selection of cocktails at each bar too. There are large pool and bar areas to choose from, the pools however were freezing, might have been nice to have some heating. The sea was warmer than the pools. We went out on three trips, always using the same taxi driver, who was lovely, she took us to Athens, Delhi and Marathon. We thoroughly enjoyed Greece, the only down side was the animation team, who only seemed to speak French and didn't try to include us with the activities. However, I would return to this hotel.
