This hotel is located at the feet of the Acropolis, very close to the archaeological attractions of the capital city, the new Acropolis Musuem, and the spectacular Parthenon (about 150 m). 3 junior suites, 5 single rooms and 30 double rooms are located on 6 storeys and can be reached by lift.     We stayed at the Hera Hotel for three nights and we were happy with our choice. The location is perfect: close enough to the busy part of Plaka but tucked away a little on a quieter street. We had several wonderful meals at the restaurants on our street. Very close to the Acropolis, with a metro station nearby too. Our room was small (we booked the most inexpensive room). The breakfast was nice with lots of the usual choices along with ala carte options (made to order omelet, fried eggs, or porridge). The rooftop bar has the Acropolis at night view. Front desk staff were very helpful and friendly.

    Wonderful hotel for my Birthday trip!

    I visited Athens to celebrate my 50th birthday and I’m extremely glad I chose the Hera Hotel. It’s located just steps away from the Parthenon and has the most stunning view!!! The hotel staff are warm, friendly, and welcoming. The included breakfast offered a delicious variety of sweet and savory options and you may also dine at the rooftop Peacock Restaurant. This was a wonderful experience 10/10!

    Great location - very cute hotel. My only complaint is that the bed and pillows are rather hard. For me, that is uncomfortable and made me sore in the morning. The staff are super friendly, the breakfast is delicious, and the rooftop bar has a great view and was a lot of fun at night. I would recommend if you are ok with hard beds.

    We stayed here in June 2025 and it was the perfect option for us! We were a group of 5 adults with 3 rooms. Hotel was in an ideal location just a block from the Acropolis museum. Very close to lots of great restaurants and the perfect location to walk around and people watch at night. Even with the central location it was relatively quiet inside and not a lot of street noise bothered us. Beds were comfortable and we had plenty of space. It was also nice to have a small balcony and be able to open the window and view the street and activity. Rooms were very clean and well maintained. The hotel does have an elevator which was a requirement for one of our older travelers. Stairs were conveniently located as well if needed. Breakfast was wonderful! Very tasty and LOTS of options to choose from. American style and included in our nightly rate. Everyone was able to have a big breakfast before starting our day of excursions or travel. The rooftop bar was nice to view the Acropolis at night and drink prices were reasonable. I would not hesitate to stay here again and highly recommend it to others who want to be close to everything within a reasonable price.

    We stayed for 3 nights. Excellent location! 50 minutes from airport, we pre-booked van for 3 couples $109. Walk to Acropolis & Acopolis Museum, Plaka stairs, lots of dining options all walkable. Easy access to subway (4 euros all day pass).Hotel - wonderful breakfast, and very clean rooms. Room 105's view is an interior courtyard, which might sound disappointing, but it's very quiet. Our friends were in 101 and 102, and didn't sleep. Noise from Tiki Bar on the corner was loud until morning hours. TIP: avoid rooms on that side of the hotel. Bathroom is european-size. Tub is very high, with a slip & fall risk. Front desk staff was always pleasant & helpful. Be sure to visit the rooftop bar for drinks & view of the Acropolis.If you are staying longer, there is a laundromat 1 block from hotel.Restaurant, Sto Kentro, across the street was an excellent option for our first night, Great food & nice service.
