  Not Bad, Would Potentially Book Again

  The Hermes Hotel was alright. Fairly good location, lots of shopping and restaurants nearby, but a 20-30min walk away from most tourist attractions. Much older facade, and a very small elevator. The shower was difficult to operate, as there was no conventional way to use it without water slipping through the gap in the shower door, or hitting the shower handle/knob and foregoing water pressure, causing the shower head to fall down on you.   Worst nights sleep ever

  This would be the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in, It was the most uncomfortable bed it was like sleeping on concrete and in the morning when we went down to breakfast the choices were absolutely shocking.   Over all good with a few blips, would stay again

  We returned home today after 4 nights at the hotel.Now I need to be honest and say our first impression was not good at all. Staff make a hotel. We walked into check in, the lady on reception seemed annoyed like we were an inconvenience for daring to check in. No Hello or Welcome, the only words were ‘name and passports’, not even a please. There were no niceties to make such feel welcome or free to ask questions.All other staff we met were lovely and friendly, asked if we needed help/guidance etc. The housekeeping do a really good job as it was spotless our entire stay, a credit to the hotel.the room it’s self was satisfactory. The only negative is the beds are VERY firm, they were difficult to sleep on until the 3rd night when nature took over and made me sleep but I woke up feeling sore in the mornings. I would suggest the hotel invests in a few mattress toppers for those of us who are more delicate….The actual bedding was good quality. The bathroom was well equipped. The hairdryer is typical old school hotel hairier and takes forever to dry hair. I would say the towels are very small too.The fridge was great at really keeping things cold which often they don’t in hotels! The restaurant for breakfast was good, with lots of variety, really nice. Again, the team here do a great job in keeping it clean and well stocked. The only other issue is the size of the lift. It’s quite typical in European hotels but be prepared if you are claustrophobic as I is VERY small. Hubby used the many stairs instead.   A DESERVED SECOND REVIEW!

  This was our third time that my friend and I stayed at the lovely HERMES HOTEL in Athens. Our experience was such a great one that I felt I had to write another positive review of this hotel. Besides the excellent location, close to all the main sights, the strong points of the hotel are the Staff who are super friendly, efficient and helpful plus the cleanliness. From the Receptionists to the breakfast room Team to the cleaning Maids ... everyone was so nice. This time the Receptionists were even more appreciated as they gave us all the assistance needed during the taxi strike in Greece. The breakfast was always tasty and fresh and the choice was very good. I would like to thank the Management and all the Staff at Hermes Hotel for making our stay such an enjoyable one.
