  Nothing luxurious but serviceable

  While visiting Athens and being there several days before our cruise departure we stayed at the Same Wild hotel. Located in a back street somewhere in the middle of the city this hotel provided the basics of what we needed. A clean, comfortable bed, decent shower and the ability to make a hot drink.The hotel does not have a restaurant for breakfast but there are multiple places nearby available for any meal.We had a room at the back of the hotel and located on the 4th floor. Definitely nothing scenic but certainly serviceable, albeit overlooked from nearby apartments. The rooms appeared to have an unfinished concrete floor with a significant amount of dust under the bed - I know because I dropped some meds and they rolled in to the dust.There bathroom did have a tiled floor but the walls appear to be unfinished concrete.The staff we interacted with were pleasant, spoke good English and were helpful. There is a tour bus stop nearby the picks up for the hop-on-hop-off tour busses, making it convenient to get around and see the sights.This hotel is far from being luxurious but is serviceable and appears to be more of a 'back-packer' location than a swish tourist hotel.Overall, we were satisfied and it served our needs for the three nights of our stay.

  This was a decent place, we didn't care for the area as we thought it was Plaka a safer area then this but they keep the door locked and we felt safe once we were inside. Rooms were clean.

  Perfect Hotel for us in Athens

  We loved this hotel! We booked it based on good price, nice photos/reviews and close proximity to vegan restaurants. My only slight concern was that some reviews described the location as a little seedy/dangerous. We did not find this to be the case at all. We loved the location, away from the tourist 'centre', but still easily accessible by metro in about 10 minutes. In fact, from this area it seemed really easy to travel to many different parts of Athens, and the metro station itself was a 10-minute walk away. There is a large, lovely park 5 minutes across the road, where lots of people & families were hanging out during the long, summer evenings. Yes, there are some run-down buildings and graffiti in the area, but that seems to be all over Athens, and it did not feel aggressive or threatening. The hotel itself was lovely. The photos are very accurate. Our room was soooo comfortable, a great size, with good storage (wardrobe), comfy bed/pillows, a nice shower and a small fridge, kettle and coffee pod machine. Down in the basement is a communal space with a pool table, small kitchen for preparing food, and space to chill out or watch movies. You can also get fresh, drinkable water here, There is a small terrace on the top floor, with a bit of a view and some friendly pigeons. The staff at reception were so lovely - friendly & helpful, great English speakers too. The only thing I would mention is that our room was at the front of the building, on the 1st floor, and you could easily the hear the traffic on the main road (which is around the corner - the hotel itself is on a side street). We were also treated to some early-morning trumpet practice from someone in an apartment opposite (and he definitely needs the practice!) So if you are sensitive to noise or a light sleeper, you should ask for a room at the back. But, that aside, it was a great hotel which I highly recommend, and would definitely stay here again.

  I booked PAME Wild based on some positive reviews, but my experience was extremely disappointing. When we arrived, we discovered that the shower in our room wasn’t working. Instead of fixing the issue or offering a proper alternative, we were told to “adjust” with a hand shower. This is absolutely not what we paid for.I requested a room change, which the receptionist flatly refused. I then asked to speak with the manager, who was apparently on a call with the receptionist at that very moment, but still refused to speak to me directly. I also requested a refund due to the unacceptable condition of the room and poor service — no response was given.This was, by far, one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. The lack of professionalism, unresponsiveness, and disregard for basic guest needs was appalling. I would strongly advise others to think twice before booking here.

  A convenient and friendly stay with cool design and amazing staff: Perfect Base for Exploring the City

  The area of the hotel is nothing special but you can get to most historical places by taxi in 10 minutes. It’s the perfect ‘no frills’ cool and friendly place you can expect visiting their website. Rooms are nice, bed is great, everything is very clean and the staff is attentive and helpful. For the price you pay it’s an excellent choice especially for travellers that will spend most of their time around. No breakfast is served but many cafes are 2 minutes away, the n espresso coffee machine in the room does the rest to kick out your morning. Very recommended.
