This family-owned hotel is just a block from the New Acropolis Museum and the Parthenon, in the tranquil residential area of Acropolis. Favoured by demanding guests and energetic tourists, families, academics and businessmen, it is the obvious choice for whoever wishes to made the best of one’s visit. Right in the heart of the upscale Acropolis residential neighborhood, part of the pedestrian walk unifying the most important archaeological sites, it is also near to the Plaka and Thissio districts as well as to the trendy areas of Gazi and Kerameikos. Framed by a museum-quality modern sculpture at the entrance, it is a superior, first class hotel with elegant contemporary look, classic in character and discreet in artistic touch, it is strategically located close to the metro station connecting to both the international airport and Piraeus port a gateway to the Greek Isles, two stops away from the city centre

Facility

50 rooms, including 12 single rooms, are available to guests. The friendly staff at the reception desk are happy to answer any questions. Amenities include a baggage storage service, a safe and a currency exchange service. Wireless internet access is provided in public areas. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. Wheelchair-accessible facilities are available. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage or in the car park. Further services include a car hire service, a laundry service, a coin-operated laundry and a hotel shuttle bus. A business centre with fax machine, projector and a flip chart and pens is available. 3 conference rooms are available for lectures, presentations and meetings.

    It is a pleasure to visit the Philippos Hotel. We felt at home from the first moment. The staff is charming and welcoming, from the smiling cleaner to the efficient reception managers. The location is in a quiet and well-kept place, surrounded by restaurants and cafes and most importantly a two-minute walk from the Acropolis metro station.In conclusion, great value for money.     Hotel Philippos in Athens was a wonderful place to stay. The staff were incredibly kind, welcoming, and always ready to help. Mr. Ilias was especially kind and went out of his way to make our stay comfortable and stress-free, which we truly appreciated.The hotel is very nice, clean, and well maintained, with a great location close to the city center and major attractions.     The hotel is brilliantly located just 5 minutes walk from the Acropoli Metro station and most of the main Athens sites can be found within a 15-20 minute walk. We were given a very warm welcome at check in and given plenty of advice and maps. The room was compact but comfortable and had everything thing we needed. The complimentary fruit on arrival was a nice touch. The shower was quite small and maybe difficult for some people to get in and out of, but the shower itself was good. The breakfast was standard Greek style buffet which was plentiful and set you up for the day. A nice hotel and would recommend.     Great location and service. Good breakfast with lots of variety. Room a little small but with clean, comfortable bed, clean bathroom and easy to use safe in room,what more do you need.
