Location

The hotel is located in one of the finest suburbs of Athens, on the seafront of Palaio Faliro, on the coastal avenue between Athens and Sounion. It is next to the modern marinas of Alimos and Flisvos and within close proximity of stores, banks and entertainment centres. The establishment provides the opportunity to combine unique moments of relaxation and serenity with business, strolls through Athens and entertainment in the vivid nightlife of the coastline.

Facility

The hotel has 90 rooms, including suites, 10 single rooms and 79 double rooms, which are located on 7 storeys and are reachable by lift. The reception desk is open round the clock. Amenities include a cloakroom, baggage storage service, safe and currency exchange service. Wireless internet access allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. A number of shops, including a supermarket, are great for shopping or just browsing. Additional facilities include a TV room. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage or in the car park (no extra charge). Further services and facilities include a babysitting service, a childcare service, a car hire service, medical assistance, a transfer service, room service, a laundry service and a hotel shuttle bus. A bicycle hire service provides all the necessary equipment for exploring the surrounding area. The business centre is on hand for guests' business requirements and provides a fax machine.

Rooms

Air conditioning and central heating ensure that rooms maintain comfortable temperatures. Guests can relax and enjoy the sea views from the balcony or private terrace of some rooms. Rooms have a double bed, a queen-size bed or a king-size bed. Extra beds can be requested. A safe, a minibar and a desk are also available. A direct dial telephone, a television with satellite/cable channels, a radio and WiFi (no extra charge) provide all the essentials for a comfortable holiday. Slippers are included. Bathrooms are equipped with a shower and include a hairdryer. As a special feature, bathrooms are also stocked with cosmetic products and a selection of towels. The hotel has family rooms and non-smoking rooms.

The indoor and outdoor pools are ideal for exercise as well as relaxation. Sun loungers and parasols are available on the sun terrace. Refreshing drinks are served at the poolside snack bar. Parents can unwind while the kids can participate in an entertainment programme full of fun activities.

Dining facilities include a café and a bar. Guests can enjoy the culinary delights of the non-smoking, air-conditioned restaurant, which provides high chairs for children. Refreshing drinks at the beach bar are a perfect way to enjoy warm weather. Catering options include half board and full board. A continental breakfast buffet and a comprehensive dinner buffet are served every day. Special meals, including diet meals, are also available. The hotel also offers special catering options.

    Refused tap water – forced to buy bottled water

    I visited Poseidon Hotel beach bar in Palaio Faliro on May 6, 2026, and the experience was very negative.Along with my coffee order, I asked for a simple glass of tap water. The staff refused, stating that this is “the policy of the establishment”, and I was asked to purchase bottled water instead.This is obviously not about cost, but about basic service standards. Completely denying access to drinking water to a customer who is already consuming raises serious concerns about the level of service.According to the applicable public health framework (Υ1γ/Γ.Π/οικ.47829/2017), food service establishments are required to have potable water available, while forcing the purchase of bottled water without offering an alternative raises issues regarding fair consumer practices (Law 2251/1994).Having also observed the same practice at nearby tables, it creates the impression that this approach is applied more broadly, particularly to visitors and tourists who may not be familiar with local practices and therefore assume they are obliged to purchase bottled water.It is worth noting that tap water in Attica is perfectly safe and of high quality, with international recognition, which makes such practices even less justifiable.Beyond the legal aspect, this kind of behavior does not align with the basic principles of hospitality, especially in a coastal and tourist area. The overall impression is that customer service is being compromised in favor of rigid commercial policies. The bottled water prices are clearly listed on the menu, and our staff politely informs guests about the policy before serving. You were informed accordingly upon being seated and, naturally, you were entirely free to decide whether you wished to remain at the establishment or not.Unfortunately, the discussion became tense, and the police were called to the venue. As confirmed by the attending officers, no illegal activity or violation was taking place at our establishment.     Nice place, very good location, exrtemely helpful staff. The view from the rooftop is breathtaking, the rooms are clean and comfy.
