This hotel is located opposite Athens airport, just 10 km from the museums and 27 km from the centre of Athens. Public transport departs from stops within 100 metres of the hotel.

    Sofitel Athens was fantastic, and the service truly stands out. The staff are compassionate, hardworking, and make every guest feel valued.A special thanks to the breakfast team led by Iliyas. Mornings were a highlight thanks to Stavros, Ioanna, Dimitris, and Iannis — always welcoming, attentive, and quick to help with a smile. The breakfast spread itself was excellent: fresh, varied, and beautifully presented. They kept everything perfectly stocked and made sure dietary needs were handled with care.It’s staff like this who turn a great hotel into an unforgettable experience.     Best Hotel Stay in Greece

    We spent three weeks travelling through Turkey & Greece and stayed at the Sofitel on the last night of our trip. All staff were welcoming and extremely friendly. The room was spotless, well appointed and extremely comfortable. We had dinner in the dining room and the food and service were superb. We wish all our hotel experiences were this wonderful!     Would Like to See More To Do

    The reason to stay here is that it is located a very easy walk from the airport - across the drop-off and pick-up lanes at Departure and Arrival. The room was very nice and clean, but there wasn't anything to do at the hotel unless you wanted to swim in the indoor pool or get a massage - which we didn't. The TWA Hotel at JFK has spoiled us! The Sofitel was a bit boring for a long layover.

    Expensive (but we waited til a week beforehand to book) but worth it…. Besides the convenience (though we could see no signs in the airport directing to it), the room, the upscaled category, initially seemed unimpressive in daylight view, but was much nicer when lit up at night. The bathroom is excellent, with standup shower and deep separate tub. Sheets were crispy and matress seemed new. All very clean and staff were very good. The main plus is Jenny Rooftop restaurant, see separate review, especially the staff Lydia and Vlassis, but the food was delicious and a bit uniquely styled. I would almost travel to eat there again.
