  “Everything was perfect! We stayed at Newel Psychiko from October 24th to October 27th and had an amazing experience. The room was clean and comfortable, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the location was great. The breakfast was delicious and the atmosphere very relaxing. We would definitely stay here again — highly recommended!”

  Wanted to say 5 stars in not enough stars for this place, they deserve 10. The staff and management were absolutely amazing from check in to check out. The breakfast was top tier and had a big variety to choose from. Cannot recommend this place and its staff enough! My family and I loved it!

  Beautiful Cozy rooms and a great location. The hotel offers Great breakfast and the rooms have a small kitchen facility. The metro station is 1 km away and many local greek food restaurants are around. Makes the location perfect for all purpose stay

  Dirty room, no accountability, and shockingly poor management

  My stay at Newel Psychiko was one of the worst hotel experiences I have had in years. Although this property is branded as a “5-star hotel,” it is, in reality, a mid-range aparthotel with minimal service, no daily room cleaning, no staff on duty at night, and serious issues with cleanliness and professionalism. Frankly, calling it 5-star is a clear case of false advertising.I arrived late on April 28 and found no reception staff present—no welcome, no assistance, just instructions to retrieve my key. The next morning, I immediately reported that the room was dirty, including visible hair from the previous guest, which I documented with photos. Despite my complaint, by 5 PM the room had still not been cleaned.Despina, the so-called front desk manager, finally came to inspect the room. She acknowledged the poor state of the room and admitted that her instructions to housekeeping “were not followed”—a shockingly casual response to what should be a basic hospitality standard. She then offered me another room that was smaller, noisier, and located on a lower floor, even though the hotel’s website showed availability on higher floors.I understandably declined the downgrade and chose to check out after just one night, although I had prepaid for three. Despina told me she agreed a refund was justified but claimed she couldn’t process it that day and would follow up—a follow-up that never came.Days later, I received a generic email stating the reservation was “non-refundable,” completely ignoring everything that had happened. Adding insult to injury, they also charged the full accommodation tax for all three nights, despite me checking out early due to their failures.This property is mismanaged, and staff like Despina lack the professionalism, accountability, and competence expected at even a basic hotel—let alone one claiming 5 stars. Foreign tourists deserve better than this. Avoid this place at all costs.

  Welcome from the reception guy was ok. The room was of a decent size and the bed and bedding was very comfortable. There is a fridge and cooking facilities in the room we were in. There was no bar to have a drink. It looked like they had one and an outside terrace but all closed up. It’s probably not ideal for singles to be wandering around looking for a restaurant or bar either. If you want food you have to order in. The hotel is open plan from reception up to the roof garden that was closed. Everything echoes and the noise in the morning as people were going for breakfast and also leaving the hotel was annoying.Not a good experience at all.
