Outdated and no value for money

    rating03 May 2026

We spent one night in one of the family suites (seaside view). This was promoted as being a luxurueus 2 bedroom suite and on the website it certainly looked that way. Unfortunately the suite turned out to be 2 small rooms which were very out-dated, had broken doors, holes in the doorframes, a very old-fashioned little bathroom, super slow wi-fi, wind coming through the glass balcony door and so on. The whole hotel looked like it had not received any maintenance or upgrade for a long while. Still I had to pay €350 for 1 night, which is not value for money at all, certainly not in Greece. Honestly it is a bit of a disgrace to charge so much for something that old. It is also misleading because it is completely different from what is promoted on the website. I filed a complaint with the hotel, but got no response unfortunately. Hopefully through this review I will get a response from hotel management. I would not recommend this hotel at all!

    Below standard expected

    rating19 Apr 2026

We stayed at your hotel from 16 Apr 26 to the 18 Apr 26.I have to say that overall our stay was well below the standard we expected. The booking was to celebrate my wife’s 82nd Birthday and one of the main reasons for choosing your hotel was because it had a large outside swimming pool as well as a need to relax.Firstly I do have to say that the hotel itself and our room was very pleasant and very clean and presentable. Also I found the staff were quite helpful and pleasant and on my request arranged for flowers and a cake for my wife’s birthday. However there were quite a few disappointments which would make us think twice before recommending your hotel or revisiting it. Indeed we have stayed at other hotels in the area which provided a proper 5 star experience:Outdoor swimming poolThe outdoor swimming pool was not operational. I realise the weather was not good and that like us you have had dust problems. We live in Marmari, almost opposite you on the Gulf of Evia. Our pool suffered the dust contamination too but I was able to clear it within a few days and no doubt your filtration is far superior to mine. I swim in pool water temperatures as low as 14C. If your outside pool is not likely to be operational when a guest books you should advise them and allow them to make a cancellation. Of course regarding the pool, we were able to make use of the indoor pool but of course at an extra cost. We did find that facility extremely well managed and the staff were really friendly and went out of their way to make it a pleasant experience. Perhaps you should offer free use of the indoor pool if the outside pool is not operational?Evening mealWe stayed half board as my wife has limited mobility which meant we could eat our evening meal in the hotel. The choice of food for the evening meal was very limited. Of course there was a range of salads but only 5 or 6 choices of hot food and that was limited to only 3 choices for us as we do not eat meat. The first evening all we could have was rice, spaghetti and a potato pie – hardly a balance meal. The second evening there was an aubergine meal which made things a bit better but only 2 other items we could have with it. Actually breakfast probably had a bigger variety of foods that we could eat.InternetThe internet in our room 207 was extremely slow which made it virtually impossible to stream any video content – part of our intended relaxation.Unsupervised childrenTo top it all there were a huge number of children as guests at the hotel due to a sporting event. We have no problem with children but not unreasonably expect them to be supervised and reasonably well behaved. This clearly was not he case and in particular on the evening of 17 September we found it totally unbearable. First of all they were running around the restaurant during the evening meal and we could hardly talk to one another due to the noise they were making. There was no supervision and they were left to do what they wanted. It was very unpleasant. We decided to leave the dining area as soon as possible and thought we might relax in the public lounge area for a while. Unfortunately we found much the same there. The only alternative was to return to our room, peace at last but not for long. Next we could hear several children running up and down the stairway making enough noise for us to be disturbed yet again.Extended offersWe also received an email with various offers of early check in, late check out and extending our stay. We did select that we would like to extend our stay by 2 days but it wasn’t until the 18th September that I received the following rather short blunt message: “Unfortunately, the following request was not accepted. However, we added your request to the list at the front desk. No worries, your original reservation remains unchanged.”Why even send an email with an option that you could not fulfil? Reception didn’t seem to know about it when we arrived either. Of course as it was we didn’t really want to stay any longer.I trust you will consider all aspects of this complaint and maybe take some corrective action so that future guests will have a better, more complete and peaceful stay at your hotel. Zeus International, Owner at ZEUS Essence Ramada by Wyndham Athens, responded to this review Dear valued Guest, thank you for sharing your feedback. We are truly sorry that your recent stay did not meet your expectations, especially as it was such a special occasion. Please accept our sincere apologies for the inconvenience caused by the pool availability, dining options, noise disturbance and internet connection. This certainly not the level of experience we aim to provide to our Guests. We take your comments very seriously and we are already addressing these matters with our Team. We have also contacted you directly, as we would very much appreciate the opportunity to welcome you again and restore your confidence in our hotel. Kind regardsLisa TheodosisHotel Manager

    Human quality

    rating29 Mar 2026

I had the opportunity to stay at both Zeus Dolce Ramada in Vravrona and Zeus Essence in Attica, and I’d like to share my honest experience. The Zeus Dolce Ramada truly stands out in terms of infrastructure. It is more luxurious, clearly more renovated, with spacious facilities and a wide range of services. My stay there was excellent, and I was very satisfied with the overall comfort and quality. On the other hand, when I arrived at Zeus Essence in Attica, my first impression was more mixed. It felt more modest and somewhat less updated, and it also took me longer to get there compared to the Dolce, which initially added to my frustration. However, everything changed completely thanks to the team at the hotel—especially the manager. Her level of care, dedication, and willingness to help was exceptional. She went out of her way to assist me, even trying to arrange kosher food, guiding me on how to get to the city center, and making sure every concern I had was addressed. That level of human quality and genuine service completely transformed my experience. In the end, my takeaway is very clear:At Dolce Ramada, I was happy because of the infrastructure and comfort. At Zeus Essence Attica, I was happy because of the people. And that made all the difference. Zeus International, Owner at ZEUS Essence Ramada by Wyndham Athens, responded to this review Dear Valued Guest,We would like to thank you for your amazing feedback and for taking the time to dedicate such kind words for our Team. It’s truly motivating. It will be our absolute pleasure to welcome you back to Zeus Essence Ramada in the future. Sincerely yoursLisa TGM

    Greek hospitality

    rating01 Nov 2025

This hotel has staff that make you feel welcome at every turn. They work hard to represent Greece as a welcoming place to visit. We picked this hotel strictly for location to the airport and Rafina port. And we came back to it twice during our 3 week vacation and every time we felt that embracing welcome. Walking the area was also relaxing and pleasant with good options to eat close by although to be honest this place is so inviting it’s hard to leave. The areas to relax and unwind are endless. The courtyard, poolside, out front with the waves crashing at the seawall, the dining room, the bar with the patio overlooking the sea, the upper deck area to play oversized chest or ping pong. It seemed to work for everyone. We saw many families, couples, newlyweds and lots of solo travelers as well. A shout out to the staff!, Anna, Konstantia, Najwa and numerous smiling faces whose names I have not written down. The recommendations were so helpful, (Anna even got me in to her dentist when I broke a tooth) I would recommend this as a great place to get your bearings in Greece.
