A very basic hotel that could be so much better. Everything looked tired in this property…the furniture, the walls and floors, even the staff. Lacked basics like wash clothes, coffee for coffeemaker, hair dryer, king beds had two measly little pillows. Great location in the center of town and spectacular views over the harbor and breakfast was pretty good although again served in a space on the top of the hotel that could be wonderful but felt more like a cafeteria.

Our stay at Airhotel Galaxy in Kavala had many positive and a small amount of negative aspects.The hotel is in a great central location with easy access to the city and within walking distance of the harbor, shops, and many restaurants. Breakfast have a good and fresh variety, offering a good start to the day. Thanks to Olga for her kindness and help throughout my visit. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, with a nice view that made the stay even more enjoyable. Unlike many other hotels, there are good amount of wall plugs for all your charging and electricity needs. Beds are comfortable and kept very clean. There is even a safe.However, the condition of the room and balcony area have some maintenance issues. The balcony ceiling had several areas where the paint was peeling and damaged, giving the space a neglected appearance. Inside the room, the bathroom door was swollen at the bottom. Additionally, the curtain had visible tears, which affected the overall impression of maintenance.Maintenance issues should be addressed to improve the guest experience. With some small touches for renovation and attention to detail, the hotel could offer a much more comfortable and satisfying stay. In my opinion, these maintenance issues are superficial and do not detract from the comfort of the room.Would I stay at this hotel next time I visit Kavala? Answer is; Yes, I would.

Good Location but too expensive

The hotel is nicely situeerde beside the old town and the harbour.The staff is friendly and helpful.But there the good part ends!The breakfast is below average and low qualityThe safe and the fridge didn’t work.We didn’t like the beds, which were not comfortable It’s just too expensive for what it delivers

Very bad experience, do not recommend

Hotel location is good, but the building is badly insulated, you hear EVERYTHING on the streets and other rooms.Olga the receptionist was very nice and helpful.The walls are paper thin, you can hear everything in other rooms. The sound from the street/cars was very very loud, you cannot sleep in the rooms.The blackouts did not go all the way and light was easily coming in through the windows.The bathroom was very dirty with moulding spots everything.The shower support was broken, nobody fixed it in 5 the days we stayed there, even though housekeeping entered the room daily.The hallway was very dirty and the air was stale.The night shift receptionist and bellboy were very impolite; they were making fun of people who did not understand greek language.The breakfast was horrible, very few vegetables or fruits. The warm food was inedible. Zero variety for 5 days stay.

I will never stay again at this hotel

I still cannot understand why this hotel is rated 4 stars. It is in urgent need of renovation (elevators, bathrooms, worn-out towels, corridor floors, beds, and overall cleanliness). Breakfast offers variety but is of poor quality. The only positives are the location and the polite staff.
