This hotel lies in a quiet area in Agios Gordios, about 5 minutes from the beach.

Facility

English-speaking staff at the reception desk in the lobby are happy to answer any questions. A baggage storage service, a safe, a TV room, medical assistance, a fax machine and a smoke alarm are available. Wireless internet access allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. A garden provides extra space for rest and relaxation in the open air. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the car park.

Rooms

    Perfect holiday in Naples centre. Hotel was perfect. David 1 was brilliant. Will definetly stay here again.     We checked in for one night before our trip to Rome the next morning and because of its proximity to Napoli Centrale. The reception people were nice enough and competent. When we checked into I room, I checked for bedbugs. In the ticking of the mattress, I found a bug and requested a room change. The hotel said it was not a bedbug. For safety, I wanted a different room. They gave us a lesser room for our trouble and at a rate of $162 without breakfast. The bathroom was very old and in dire need of a renovation. No bugs through.     It was okay enough not to complain or ask for a new room, but that’s about it.Positive: the waiter at the restaurant went above and beyond to find suitable food for me. I am coeliac so it can be tricky, but he was incredibly helpful and friendly. He was really kind to my 9 year old as well. Same for the staff in the breakfast room, they were incredibly helpful too. The first morning my daughter fell down the stairs and hurt herself. I asked the staff for an icepack, and the woman couldn’t have been more dismissive. She didn’t seem to care and just told us to do to the breakfast room and ask for an icepack there. Luckily, as said above, staff there did care and were lovely.Our room. Mould in the corner of the bath, cracked toilet seat and the sink didn’t drain. Just not okay! I didn’t ask for another room because we traveled the whole day and my daughter was tired (and so was I!). I shouldn’t have to ask for another room in the first place, selling rooms like this just isn’t acceptable. I have photo's, so I am not making it up.Despite all this, we had a nice time in Naples and an amazing visit to Pompeii.     Hotel is very near the central train station. This is good (ease of getting there) and bad (the area around the station is. . .rough). Naples is not what I was expecting. We went there for a few days as a central location to visit Pompeii (we did--easy day trip and well worth it!) and Sorrento (trains were down the day we intended to go, so didn't get to make that trip). My friend who lives in Milan was surprised I picked Naples and described it as "gritty" which was accurate. The hotel was ok. Pros: As I stated, location is close to train.Staff was very friendly and able to keep our luggage before our room was ready, as well as after we checked out until we caught our train to Rome. Breakfast was quite good; more than a typical European breakfast & had eggs, meats, lots of pastry options, coffee/tea, cereals and yogurts.Hotel lobby was clean. Option for 4 people in one room, which is hard to find in Europe. Our family room had 1 double bed & 2 singles & everyone fit fine. Cons: Beds were HARD as rocks. As in, difficult to sleep on. And I can sleep pretty much anywhere. Surrounding area is pretty rough. Lots of trash in the sidewalks, dirty streets. People selling things on the street corner. This is most of (what we saw in) Naples. No one bothered us but it was sometimes hard to weave through the people trying to sell you shoes and fake purses. Our room, especially bathroom was pretty dated. But still fairly clean. If I had to go back to Naples, this was as good a place as any I guess.
