  Quiet and Peaceful

  Exactly as described.Basic however a wonderful place, comfy bed clean and tidy.The pool was wonderful and scenery was amazing.I fully recommend this place especially to couples or solo travellers.Their was a mosquito plug in the room but would recommend taking some spray, not a lot f them but seemed to like munching on me !

  Aronis Apartments is a good place to spend a relaxing, peaceful holiday. You have the perfect combination of mountains and proximity to the sea. Magda and her family are very warm and good hosts. The complex is very clean and has everything you need. Aronis is located on a mountain and is not overrun with tourists. Benitses is a geographically well situated starting point to explore the island.

  Visited here with other half looking for a chill time.rooms are basic but very clean. Bedding and towels were changed every 2 days. View from all rooms are fantastic. Pool and sea.plus plane spotting.Down side needs a soft chair to sit on,and bathroom a bit bigger.Magda and her dad are full of smiles and if anything wrong in apartment you only have to say and it gets fixed asap. Poolside bar great for snacks and you can sit there in evening as well. Plenty of alcoholic drinks choices.Down side needs a car/quad or bike to get up and down as the apartment are up a steep slope.Also if you have a late night flight well worth booking the extra day to shower and change in as booking out is 11am and it's a long day at pool with only a outside shower and loo under pool down very steep steps so may be handrail would help there as well.Would we go there again yes .

  May not be worth the beautiful view

  The good: has a beautiful view of trees and the ocean and is perfect for watching the sun rise. My apartment was relatively clean, and there is a beautiful impeccably clean pool. There is a bar by the pool for snacks and drinks. The bad: the apartments are at the top of a steep hill, the roads are fairly unsafe, and if you plan to walk or ride the bus you will have to walk up the hill. (I took cabs home which adds up). There was a bad smell coming from the bathroom sink drain, there are a lot of flies, wasps and mosquitoes and they are out for blood. Feral cats make a lot of noise at night and hang around the property, though this is more a Greece issue than one of this property. The ugly: I ended my trip two weeks early. The man who ran the bar took an uncomfortable liking to me and ended up putting his hands on me, effectively ruining the bar and pool area. I made a friend while I was in town and had her over to my apartment and the owner saw her and told me I was absolutely not allowed to have a guest. To be clear my friend was there for the afternoon, not an overnight visit. I also allowed another guest to store their backpacks in my room prior to thud while they waited for their flight. She was unhappy with me for that, preferring they put their bags by the pool in an unwatched open vestibule. After she accosted me over these issues I no longer felt I could stay there. As a solo female traveler, I cannot recommend this as a good choice. I feel that rules such as no one being allowed to sit on the veranda with you should be posted on booking sites so people can make an informed decision. aronis, Manager at Aronis Apartments, responded to this review Dear Liz,I am so sorry but your comment does not refer to true facts and has been mentioned.   We booked a car at a very reasonable price and picked up from the airport. There is a bus stop at the bottom of the lane but it is a bit of a walk to the accommodation. We knew this from reading reviews but were tempted by the photos and write ups. Aronis is in a beautiful, tranquil location with amazing views. We were warmly greeted by the family who remained friendly and helpful. Our room was simple but immaculately clean. Room was cleaned every other day as were sheets and towels changed. The bed, a double which we had requested was very comfortable. There was a very clean fridge, new kettle, small cooker and crockery etc. Personally we like to eat out as many tavernas a short drive away. The grounds and the pool were really lovely. A brilliant base to explore a lot of the island. Good idea to hire a car, bike etc but people did walk. Would definitely recommend and would love to return.
