  Older but still very nice

  It’s an older hotel that needs some renovation to bring back to former glory. Staff were wonderfully helpful, with questions, with cleaning, and with packages delivered to the hotel.Breakfast was excellent as can be with variety of local and non local things such as bacon, eggs, muffins, etc. The breakfast area is so vast that I didn’t bother to try the breakfast at the executive lounge.The room, again, needing some renovation, is huge and bright, very comfortable with grand view of the Yangtze River, the Yellow Crane Tower and two bridges in between. Few steps from the hotel is where the locals come out at night for the street vendors with delicious and delightful local foods that was too much for me to try during the short stay.Only gripe was someone was smoking on my floor and made the hallway smell like a casino. I did request the staff to take a look at the surveillance video to find and fine the person responsible. After that the smoking stopped.I would love to come back to the hotel next time in town.

  Thanks the Duty Manager Barry Zhang,and the Guest Service Center for a warm trip ,especially the free upgrade.1-Execellent position, It's very close to the river beach, very close to some scenic spots.2-Excellent Executive Lounge, river view,nice food.3-Warm service for diamond members, free upgrade ,free breakfast, free Afternoon tea, free dinner4-The cleaner Aunt is very very goodIf you want to have a family trip and you are a diamond member .This will be a good choice

  Stayed with family for the holiday. Was a very nice facility, maybe a bit dated and need some renovation. Oh, where to start.Staff in general was nice and pleasant to talk to. Just one person at the front desk didn’t seem as outgoing. But overall, they were very helpful. One time our baby had an accident on the bed and we called in to ask for the bed sheets to be changed. Went downstairs to meet some friends in the lobby, and came back up 20 minutes later. Bed sheet was changed out already. Couldn’t be any happier about the housekeeping services!Had breakfast every day and dinner one night at the Brassiere on the 3rd floor. Certainly did not disappoint, specially the dinner buffet had quite a nice selection. Staff was very helpful and nice, for the most part. Just one time at closing for breakfast we noticed the staff spray cleaner onto a table already set with plates and silverware. Sprayed in between the plate settings, then wiped it down. Reserved the room with the view of the river and red bridge, paid a little extra for the red bridge. Not worth it. I could see the red bridge, if I press my head against the window and look to the right. But the river view was gorgeous. The pool in the park across from the hotel needs better upkeeping and the water in the pool looked very grungy and dirty. Not the hotel’s problem, but certainly an eyesore for what is generally a beautiful view.Now, the problem with the room was it was hot. The staff claims because the window faces East the sun would warm the room in the morning. Only had the sun come out on the check-out date and the room climbed to 26C according to the thermostat, but it felt a lot warmer than that. Had to keep the room door open to let the ac from the hall help cool the room down. Besides, at night time the room was 24C even though the air conditioning was set to 18C. With the window open the room temperature drops down to a cool 23C. Not sure if it’s the in-room refrigerator that’s heating up the room because when I open the cabinet housing the fridge hot air would fly out. The air coming out of the vent was cool, but not 18C cool.Second problem is the rug under the bed. My little girl’s pacifier dropped to the floor and under the bed. Used the flashlight to look for it and can tell it’s been a long time since the rug there was last vacuumed. Room itself was vacuumed, just not under the bed and possibly the couch.Overall it was a nice stay. First time traveling with our little girl and it’s good experience. Seems like a family friendly hotel. The hotel provided a crib for her, just wish they could have provided a wash basin or bottle sanitizer. Guess that’s the difference between the Hilton and Four Seasons. Would we stay here again? That’s up to the boss (lol).

  Wonderful Christmas Stay and Buffet

  Was greeted and given a warm welcome for being a Hilton Gold member by Ms. Liu. Liked the room given to us (a little warm though). Enjoyed food and entertainment at the Christmas Buffet in the hotel. Overall was pleased by our stay and service we received will return in the future.

  The Hilton Wuhan Riverside more than met my expectations. I am salty on Hilton in America having spent a full career traveling and remained loyal to them earning lifetime diamond status. In the US, it means nothing since everyone with a credit card has diamond. In Asia, you still get that old, loyalty driven love! The Wuhan Hilton checked every box.I booked two rooms. One for us and one for my wife's brother and sister who had never experienced an upscale hotel in their life. Both were upgraded on views and ours to a very high floor. Both were given lounge access. Both were given full breakfast. This was above and beyond to grant the latter 2 items to the second room, especially booked on points.The lounge is not quite as stocked as others but had beverages all day for us if we needed. The evening food is decent with 4-5 hot items and several chilled items. Breakfast was incredible. Noodle station serving up traditional, local Hubei Province noodles either in soup or dry with their trademark tahini/peanut sauce which is very sticky and savory. Don't miss that! The hot foods had British items (Beans) and American (eggs, bacon, sausage, cereal). But, be sure to eat all of the fruits, Chinese dishes, fried dough items and pastries. The museli is stellar in the cold section. Coffee options, tea options and even a ball pit for the little ones to play in! Many Chinese dishes in the hot section, made to order eggs in any style and a small sushi/Japanese section as well. Steamed Dim Sum and steamed vegetables such as sweet potatoes. If you leave breakfast hungry, you did not do it right!The room itself was large. Bathroom was great and the shower had many head options with very hot water. Comfortable Hilton bedding which is great. The pool was inviting and I went down thinking the small pool was a spa. It was not hot water. The pool requires you have a bathing cap so I skipped that. The sauna and steam room were functional and I enjoyed that as an amenity of hotel days gone by in America. We priced the spa for massages but passed. You can get the same experience at a place in the city for 30% the cost. This spa was carrying American prices.Walking distance to many street food items and the riverwalk. Views from the hotel include both the grand suspension bridge and the old Wuhan River bridge. I would definitely return to this property on my next visit to Wuhan!
