    Nice apartments

    rating21 Oct 2017

Just got back from this holiday at these apartments. I don't understand all the negative reviews about these apartments! My apartment was lovely with more than usual for a Greek apartments! I had a full size oven, large fridge freezer, kettle, toaster, iron and ironing board! The apartment was spacious and spotless! The cleaner, Isabella is the best! So helpful! The only negatives were the apartments st the back need more !lighting as its dark around the back at night. Also the pool could do with cleaning more often. All in all though I had a lovely holiday here at the apartments and met some lovely people who agreed with me about these apartments. I would recommend to anyone to stay here!

We arrived to no room because they double booked us....we were left in the road with our luggage...we were put in alternative accommodation for one night...minimal apology...when we complained Kostas from the Travel Corner was rude and aggressive...I would not go there again

    Lacking that personal touch

I have just came back from Corfu. And have to say it wasn't my best holiday. Was mostly due to the weather which can't be helped obviously but still small issues with accommodation. We arrived at the apartment around 2 am in the morning whilst it was thunder and lightning and the slope road we get dropped off was like a little stream. I was standing in the flowing water with my shoes filled with water to the top, trying to get all the suitcases, prams etc off the road as they were left in the water by the bus driver. (No fault on his part as there was no option)We were a party of 6 adults,3 kids and an infant so imagine the amount of luggage. By the time I manage to put them all under some sort of shelter I got no dry parts left at all.now I am not moaning about the rain but in the dark with no greeting by any staff whatso ever , I walked into the first building to get cover so kids but be sheltered. Then we started wondering where to go. Took us a while to notice that outside the gates, attached to the wall, was an A4 sheet with our name and which building and which room was hours. No notice board to get your attention that was lit or anything but a paper on the wall which was soaked. Then the issue of where tho find our apartment block as again no signs. There is a building next to pool and ours was the one behind through narrow dark path. When we went upstairs all the keys were left on the doors and this is the way you will get greeted. A note on the wall and your key on your door. There is no reception or staff available expect the one lady housekeeper you see through out your holiday and unfortunately she can't speak English. If you'd have any issues with the apartments you are suppose to go to a travel agency called Travel Corner down the road run by Costas and his wife. Spoke to the lady once when I asked about keeping one of the rooms on the last day and she was helpful and told me to come back and ask the day before last. Her husband on the other hand was all smiley etc when we boat a boat trip to Corfu centre from them although he charged us more for the kids at first which we had to go back in and ask him to rectify it and he did. But when I went early Sunday morning, the day before departure and asked about keeping one of the rooms ,he came across as he couldn't be bothered and told me to come back later on that day but said it would be OK. Then I asked him if we could just use the phone briefly to call the transport firm to get our pick up time and he said they wouldn't be open till 6-7 pm as it was Sunday! The office hours on the paperwork was 8am-9pm which I manage pad to call them from the grocery shop just down from the apartments. Only cause couldn't find phone cards and the shopkeeper lady allowed me to use her phone for no extra charge bless her. So the apartment itself in all honesty is really good for self catering. Specious and you get all the cutlery etc. Our view was facing the rear of the building towards the mountain and the sea in the distance so overall good. There is satellite tv in the room but our room number 5 , the to only had sound but no picture at all. Really old and it didn't bother me and I didn't even report it as I wasn't bothered about watching to and here is free wifi anyway so I was mainly on my iPad. One criticism about the TVs in all rooms though is that they are fixed so high up,just below the ceiling that if you actually decide to watch them you will need neck support afterwards. Under trenchal rain there was leaks all over the sitting room in room 4 but it was really heavy rain. To sum it up,apartments are quite good for self catering but like I said there is no one as staff to deal with who are present. I mean at 2am in the morning if we had any issues about locating our room or something with the keys etc what would we do , wait till morning and go to Travel Corner ! The pool was quite small and maybe normal for the area etc and freezing cold unfortunately but then again it's October. Few sun beds around if you want to sunbathe. If you follow the road at the rear of the propert it takes you to beach in 5mins walk. It was clean water but don't expect a sandy beach. The resort kassiopi is in my opinion not for young people who perfect bars clubs etc. There are few restaurants around which mainly serve the similar food. I don't think there was much local food choice but that's me. I like to try the local cuisine. The boat trip to Corfu centre take over an hour and it was €17.50 per adult.the only time we tried to get a bus to explore was on Sunday but also told by Costas that no buses run on Sunday. But there are car or quad bike rentals around.
