  Nice hotel with family atmosphere and kind staff

  We were in hotel Fire Fly in Moraitika in June 2022 and would like to come back. We appreciated the vicinity to the beach, the nice garden with old olive trees and the very kind and willingly staff. In the ground-floor beside the garden is a nice taverna with delicious food and very kind waiter service too. You can have here breakfast, lunch and dinner if you want.

  Very cozy and small hotel, close to a sandy beach.Here you can also eat, a tavern on the first floor. Food and portions very carefully cooked. There is no big noise. The rooms are quiet and peaceful.Rooms in the Greek minimalist style, including a small refrigerator, hot water, shower, everything you need to relax.Mosquitoes are present, but various drugs can be purchased at the store to calm them down.And of course very caring owners ...You will be fun and comfortable here.To the beach no more than 5 minutes, you can immediately go in bathing suits ...

  the Fire Fly is set 500 metres from beach and shops and Tavernas ,its very well kept and with clean rooms and AIR CON if you should need it, Views from room stunning and its in a spot where you can sleep free from the bustle of Moratika, food very good and tasty, its only since I've been home that I realise what a great place to stay and how rested I felt ,the beach is in my mind the safest and cleanest in Corfu, lovely views to the main land and Corfu town in the distance and on a warm evening just before sunset a pure delight is to just relax in the warm sea and watch the planes flying in to the airport 20 miles away as they pass the resort with another bunch of excited passenger awaiting to step out on this magical Island named Corfu

  The Fire Fly hotel is a beautifully charming family run hotel in Moiraitika with 16 rooms. It's location is at the closest end of the village heading towards Corfu Town and it's down a small tarmac road leading to the beach from the main road. The hotel is set in its own grounds with olive and fruit trees at the back and a lovely garden in the front with 600 year old olive trees. The beach is a 2minute walk along the small path with small gardens running along one side and the tennis courts of the neighbouring hotel. It's in a lovely quiet location and all the rooms have balconies and face, if on the top level, and have views of the sea. There are around 5 rooms in the ground level which open onto the front gardens. At the back of the hotel is plenty of parking. The rooms themselves are clean and fresh and simple. Two single beds and bedroom tables. There is a cupboard with a safe inside and next to it is a small sink and a two plate hot stove and fridge (which gets really really cold!). There is a tv and aircon, neither of which we use as the wooden shutters are left open at night to hear the sea and be woken up by cockerels at 6am 😂. The bathroom has a shower and also a hairdryer and the water pressure is brilliant. They are cleaned every day and sheets changed weekly. Downstairs is the bar and seating area where you can have breakfast. Christos runs this and is great. You can have cocktails and his spectacular Irish coffees and the normal beers and spirits and wines. Breakfast is served by Christos and his wife and You have choices of fresh wood fire baked bread, tomatoes, eggs, bacon, sausage, teas and coffees. If there is something you want and they don't have it, they will the next day. It's great place to start and finish your day. Next to it is the family Taverna of the same name which is run by Spiros who trained in Switzerland and his wife. They do lunches and dinner and the food and choice is superb. Fresh and reasonably priced and very very nice. If you walk to the beach you can walk along the wooden boardwalk and come to a god number of beachside bars and tavernas in 5min from the hotel. If you walk up to the main road, 3 min, there is a bus stop and a COOP supermarket and you can either go across the road and up into the village or left to Messonghi which is a maybe a 20min walk if you go to the furtherest end. You pass bars, shops, chemists, fast food, restaurants, car hire, tourist places and a money exchange place along the way. A truly wonderful hotel and in a great location.
