    Breathtaking views, tranquil location, unique 17th century villa

    We had a wonderful stay at the fundana villas. Alex and his father Spiros are excellent hosts. They gave us great tips for sightseeing and were very helpful. Fundana Villas is a unique and incredibly tranquil place to stay. It is a restored 17th century villa set in am olive Grove, at the top of a beautiful valley. The views are breathtaking. There is a lovely swimming pool overlooking the valley and you are surrounded by nature. It's so good for the soul, this place. Just a short drive away, there are the stunning beaches of paleokastritsa and a five minute drive away is the charming village of Dukades with lovely Tavenas to eat. We mainly dined in the Elizabeth Tavena the food was amazing and the environment is so charming. We stayed in a gorgeous two bedroomed suite. Beds super comfy with pretty verandas overlooking the stunning valley. I will definitely be back. Huge thanks to Spiros and Alex, Norah, Rebecca and Johanna

    Very kind people: ready to help, advise, make one's stay just that extra little bit nicer. Nice pool. Stunning view. Nice apartment. Good airco. couple of hikes through nature. Privacy. Quiet if you want, neighbourly too. Authentic. Easy going. right in the middel, access to all of Corfu.

    My Family And Other Animals Dream!

    As huge fans of the 1987 ‘My Family & Other Animals’ TV series, it was a dream to stay at Fundana Villas (where parts of it were filmed). The location is spectacular, rolling hills amongst glorious nature set in the Corfiot countryside (yet only 30 mins by car from Corfu Town). The Venetian mansion and its accommodations have been tastefully renovated and the air-conditioning in our suite was much appreciated! There is a lovely swimming pool on the property, set in the beautiful gardens of lemon, kumquat and olive trees. Only a 10 minute drive away is the beautiful clear waters of Liapades Beach and the beautiful bays of Paleokastritsa. Owners Spyros and his son Alex were wonderful hosts and made our stay comfortable and relaxing. Thank you Fundana for hosting us during our stay on Corfu, we will definitely be back!

    Hidden gem!!!

    What a wonderful find this was! Charming and with bags of character. The views from pretty much all the rooms over the valley to the mountains beyond are stunning. The lovely pool is also situated with superb views to enjoy while sunning yourself. The welcome from the owner, Spiros was very warm and he was helpful throughout with tips on where to eat and the best places to visit. For our visit the bar and restaurant was not open but hopefully that will change soon. But so many great tavernas nearby it’s not a problem. Definitely hire a car though! It’s also well situated for trips to Corfu town and the stunning beach at Paleakrastritsa, with some great bars and restaurants. If you want charming, authentic, away from the madding crowds but close to the main attractions, this highly recommended! We were sad to leave and will definitely be back.

    A different and lovely side of Corfu

    Lovely, comfortable studio apartment, a perfect blend of old and atmospheric, with stylish and contemporary convenience.The floor in our room was made of the old 19th century bricks, stamped with maker's mark! And really old beams on the ceiling - it felt a part of history. Yet the bathroom was super-trendy, clean and light, with rain-head shower. Our wardrobe even lit up inside when you opened it! (I want one of those now!).There were flyscreens on all the windows, so you could sleep with windows open, or AC to sleep with them closed.The lovely breakfast (reasonable extra charge) was in the main house, so atmospheric, right next to the old olive press, and was enough to keep you going for the entire day.Just wandering around the grounds felt like exploring the history of rural Corfu. They even have the names of their former cows on a plaque on the wall.Spyros the owner is so friendly and helpful, and an absolute mine of information. We genuinely enjoyed meeting him and felt privileged to spend time in the beautiful B&B that he has spent many years making from what used to be his family farm.I can't recommend it highly enough.
