Pleasurable Stay, at a good quality hotel

    rating30 May 2026

We went for a birthday and family holiday during half term, we were with children and so expected children being there. I can not fault the hotel and staff. The hotel is clean and the staff always smart. The food caters for all tastes and is always plentiful, beer is local served in glass, except around the pool, The wine is very taste as long as it's served cold, sprits are from known branded companies. The usual English thing of putting towels on sun beds was quite prevalent, (so stop blaming the Germans) however if you went to the beach there were plenty, for everyone. The watersports section were always cheerful and were very complementary about the size of the life jacket I needed, (XXXXL) the items we went on were safe and we all felt that safety came first, with them.I was contacted during my stay and my only grumble was that they did not serve Retsina in Greece, Guest relation 'Konstantina' apologized and said it's not very popular. which I understand. Later on that day there was a knock on my door and I was presented with two bottles of Retsina, which they had gone out to the local shop and purchased. That shows that the hotel goes above & beyond to look after their guests. It was lovely gift for them to get the wine and I did not expect it. SO A BIG THANK YOU.We all will return.

Having the restaurant, cocktail bar, gelateria and creperie all neatby was excellent. Our room in the main hotel was spotless and well serviced. The food was excellent especially at the Italian restaurant.A special mention to Alexandra tar taking great care of us and arranging our meal bookings efficiently. There was a real care by the staff with them even going around the beach on a couple of days checking we were all ok and if there was anything they could do to improve things for us.Well done team.

Fantastic Stay at Grecotel Daphnila Bay with Exceptional Staff and Beautiful Surroundings

    rating27 May 2026

We had such a wonderful stay at Grecotel Daphnila Bay and would absolutely return. From the moment we arrived, we felt very welcome. Our room was lovely with a beautiful sea view, and the mini bar was well stocked which was a really nice touch. The food throughout the hotel was excellent with lots of choice for both food and drinks. There was a buffet restaurant open every day for breakfast, lunch and dinner, which always had plenty of variety. We also really appreciated that the hotel booked us into their other restaurants for us so we didn’t miss out, which made the whole experience feel organised and relaxed rather than stressful trying to get reservations. Daphnila Village was also fantastic with authentic food and a lovely atmosphere. The surroundings are absolutely beautiful and the whole hotel feels relaxing and well cared for. We also enjoyed trips into Corfu Town, hired a speed boat which was amazing, and visited Aqualand which was fantastic — especially for my 15-year-old daughter. What really made the holiday special though was the staff. Everyone was so friendly and helpful throughout our stay. A special thank you to Nikos at the lobby bar for our drinks every night — he was brilliant, very knowledgeable about cocktails and made my husband and I feel so welcome every evening. Natalia was also wonderful, always so friendly and lovely to chat to. The staff genuinely made the holiday memorable.Overall, an amazing holiday in beautiful surroundings with fantastic food, great experiences and exceptional staff. Highly recommended. Family of 5, lovely stay with pros and some cons!

    rating27 May 2026

Honest review from a family of 5 from the UK – stayed 7 nights in a family bungalow. The hotel is set in a quiet area with no nearby shops. The nearest bus stop is about a 5-minute walk from the main entrance. As we were travelling with young children, we chose to take taxis into Corfu Town instead, which the hotel arranged for us at €30 each way and took around 20 minutes. I believe the bus takes around 30–40 minutes. Most parts of the hotel are lovely, especially the lobby, bars, pool areas, and terrace. Some of the outdoor areas are looking a little tired and could do with updating. Our bungalow was a great size for the five of us – very spacious with a huge comfortable bed. However, the bathroom felt dated and sometimes had a damp/sewage smell. The shower flooded into the toilet area every day, which made the floor very wet after showering five people. There was also no full-length mirror, just a small mirror in the room and one in the bathroom with poor lighting. The balcony was quite shaded and looked a bit worn, so we only really used it for drying clothes. The outside light was also broken and leaning over to one side. Our bungalow was located very close to the main hotel luckily as some of them were very hilly! The staff were fantastic throughout our stay. Every member of staff we spoke to was polite, kind, and genuinely helpful. They really couldn’t do enough for us.The first few days were fairly quiet, and we had no issues getting sunbeds or finding space in the restaurant. However, once the May half-term holidays started, the hotel became much busier. There were queues for the main buffet restaurant, outdoor seating filled up quickly, and the main pool area became very crowded. We ended up spending most of our time at the smaller kids’ pool at the front of the hotel, which was actually lovely and had sunshine all day. Large inflatables were also allowed there. The beach area is really nice, especially for families with young children. The beach is sandy with shallow water, and the Asia Oliva restaurant down there was much better suited to children than the main buffet restaurant. It had a more relaxed atmosphere with pizzas, burgers, wraps, and other simple food options. The only downside was the slow drinks service. The steep hill down to the beach also put us off going more often. It would be great if the hotel ran the golf buggy service more regularly throughout the day, as that would make the beach much more accessible.Large inflatables weren’t allowed in the main pool but were fine at the kids’ pool and beach. The hotel shop sold inflatables and beach toys, but they were expensive – we paid €12 for a bucket and spade. Definitely worth bringing your own if you can.The hotel also had an outdoor cinema by the kids’ pool and arcade area, showing a different film every night. The kids really enjoyed this, especially with the popcorn, candy floss, and juice included. We also visited Aqualand Water Park for half a day. We got a taxi there and back, costing €30 each way, and it took around 20 minutes. We arrived at 2pm and stayed until closing at 6pm. The park was really good – clean, well organised, and great fun for the kids. One tip would be to bring swim shoes, as the ground gets extremely hot.Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. It was one of the few hotels we could find at a reasonable price that could accommodate all five of us in one room, and we would visit again. Although some areas of the hotel could definitely benefit from upgrades, we had a lovely family holiday overall.
