  Down to earth resort with everything you need

  Costa Botanica has everything you need for a family holiday. Spacious rooms (we travelled with a toddler and baby and had lots of space with an interconnecting room), good facilities, a number of (unheated) swimming pools to choose from, a great splash park for all ages, nice beach with a great beach bar and a wonderful setting for dining and drinking in and around the piazza.What set the resort apart for us though were the staff. Our baby has a couple of food allergies which can make travelling fairly tricky but the staff went above and beyond to ensure we were catered for. On arrival, we sat down with the food & beverage team to discuss specific requirements and decide what exact food they'd prepare for our baby. Even when dining in the buffet, the team brought baby's food to our table each time. The Whatsapp concierge service was a fantastic way of making requests during our stay and made everything pretty seamless.Costa Botanica isn't as fancy as a lot of the more expensive resorts, but it delivers everything you want and need for a family to have a great holiday. We'll definitely consider Grecotel resorts for future trips after having such a good experience at Costa Botanica.

  We have returned a week ago and cannot stop reminiscing about what a fabulous much needed rest we had, based on recent reviews on the resort /hotel we couldn’t agree more. What we would say if you experience any issues, simply speak to a member of staff, they are incredibly supportive and ensuring guests have the best experience. The team clearly love what they do and it creates such a warm atmosphere. A big thank you to all staff but we would like to mention Polina for her fantastic welcome, lovely Maria (food and beverage manager) for going out of her way in her busy day to chat to us and check we were ok and introduced us to Gary the executive chef . Adorable George (man unity ⚽️) met at fine dining restaurant for his great personality and such a pleasant young man. Thanks to Lily, Evdoxia and Alex for their excellent service and all waiting staff. Big shout out to Georgia we had a fabulous wine experience she is so knowledgeable and charming ( Diamond Rose a must) We even had the chance to meet the general manager Mr Christian Tsaloukis and a family member as we were checking out and shared how much we enjoyed our stay, which is truly a credit to his wonderful team

  Beautiful - but cold pools, lots of babies/toddlers and mosquitoes

  Just returned from a week at the Grecotel LUX®ME Costa Botanica. The hotel is lovely with beautiful gardens and was exceptionally clean. The staff are very friendly and welcoming and all speak English. Our room (652) was on the quieter side of the hotel away from the busy piazza area. Rooms were cleaned everyday, and mini fridge re-stocked every other day. The bed was very comfortable and we heard very little noise from the neighbouring rooms. Powerful walk-in rainfall showers and fluffy white towels. No USB points in the room so you need a travel plug/adapter. There was a mosquito deterrent plug-in and a bottle of mosquito spray in our room. We also wore mosquito bands on our ankles and wrists but still got badly bitten whilst out in the evening. There was always a good selection of food in the buffet restaurant, but it was never particularly hot just lukewarm. The desserts were absolutely delicious. You can help yourself to tea, coffee, hot chocolate, soft-drinks and beer. The A la Carte restaurants get booked up very quickly, so book them the day you arrive. They are all outside and one evening it was chilly and windy, which didn’t make it a very pleasant experience. Even though we went during school term time we were very surprised at how many babies and small children were there. The noisy level in the buffet restaurant was ridiculous and many parents let children scream, run around or constantly bang cutlery on a plate. Children were even running around the A la Carte restaurants. When checking out we did suggest to reception that they have a ‘quiet area’ in the buffet restaurant where couples could sit away from families, as the restaurant is large enough to accommodate this. The 2 main pools are lovely but not heated, as it was May the water was freezing. Very few people used the pools during our stay, mostly were children on inflatables. Pool towels were provided and could be changed whenever needed. The pool bar/snack bar was very nice. Staff constantly walked around asking if you would like a drink. They do delicious crepes with Carte Dor ice cream down by the beach. We had a private transfer to/from the airport which took just over an hour each way. When leaving the hotel we had to pay £90 tourist tax. We loved the hotel and would return - but take our noise cancelling headphones to wear in the buffer restaurant!   Perfect hotel for a family holiday

  We recently stayed here as a family of three and honestly could not fault the experience from start to finish. The hotel itself is absolutely beautiful, set right on the beach with stunning mountain views behind it. The whole place felt really peaceful and idyllic.What truly made the holiday though was the staff. Every single member of the team was friendly, attentive and genuinely could not do enough for us. We travelled with our little boy and the hotel provided everything we needed completely free of charge including a cot, high chair, steriliser, baby towels, changing mat and more. They made travelling with a young child so easy and stress free.A special mention has to go to the hotel manager, who was incredible throughout our stay. She helped us through a couple of issues with the à la carte restaurants and handled everything with kindness, professionalism and a constant smile. She was also amazing with our son and really made us feel welcome every single day.The food was outstanding throughout. The buffet restaurant was one of the best we’ve experienced at an all-inclusive hotel, with loads of choice and really high quality food. The à la cartes were fantastic too. The fine dining restaurant was excellent, the Asian restaurant was amazing, especially the sushi and crispy duck, and the beachside Italian restaurant at sunset gave us one of the most memorable evenings of the holiday.The pools and facilities were spotless and very well maintained. The water park was brilliant and genuinely had something for every age group. The all-inclusive drinks and bar service were also excellent.We also did the wine tasting experience with Georgia, who was absolutely fantastic. We’d never done wine tasting before and she made it really enjoyable, informative and relaxed. Her enthusiasm and professionalism really stood out.Overall, this hotel gave us one of the best family holidays we’ve ever had. The staff truly care about making your stay special and nothing ever felt like too much trouble. We would recommend it without hesitation, especially for families travelling with young children.   Beautiful nature

  Costa Botanica was a really nice place where nature meets luxury. There were running lizards, super nice and helpful staff, delicious food, and a calming sea. I haven’t felt so relaxed in ages.
