  Be careful with this hotel!

  Watch out for this hotel, we had paid for accommodation here and on the day of arrival they took us 12km to another hotel because they were full!! All without explanation, without communication, they loaded us into the car and drove us away!!

  This hotel has now changed to Michaelangelo Resort in Kassiopi. We had read the reviews and was very worried before we stayed here. Our room 401 was absolutely prestine and towels were changed daily. Bedding was also changed twice within the week. Our room was very roomy and modern and had everything we needed and was up to standard for a 3 star although when we booked last year it was classed as a 4. Pool areas were lovely and plenty of sunbeds. The only gripe I had was pool area needed sweeping daily and empty plant pots were full of stale water from when it rains and rubbish. The bar all inclusive was adequate and the food was lovely. We had read terrible reviews regarding the food and we could not fault it and I am very fussy. The choice was very good on hot food and the salads were super. There was plenty of deserts if you fancied that and fruit choice on all meal times. The people of the hotel were very pleasant. We did not see the Tui rep in resort which was disappointing but did see the Jet 2 rep who came over and asked if we was ok even though we had not booked with them. Lovely lady who asked if there was anything she could get for us. Well done Jet 2. Transfer is a little long 3 hours too many pick ups.

  I stayed here for one week I am not a fussy person but I had to go to complain many times in this hotel , firstly the room was tiny for two people the wardrobe would just about fit my clothes in nevermind my daughters so they moved us .Then our new room had a double and single bed we did not have enough pillows I waited 3 days for a spare one also no towel change or bed change for for 4 days to top it all the hair dryer was ready to blow up and we waited 4 days for the new one ,we were all inclusive but the food was awful the same constantly repeated and no variety the best meal was breakfast you can't go wrong with cereal and toast , therefore we had to eat out the drinks were flat and watered down , the afternoon snacks were bland cakes the same every day I would like to say Kassiopi is amazing I would definitely recommend it but not this hotel .

  lovely hotel, beauriful beaches close by, the food was not fantastic but edible. one staff member that stood out for us was Bradley , he was really awesome, excelent bar service from him around the pool and kept us so entertained, a real treat for my wife and I , thank you Brad , we will be back

  First things first, this hotel is rated at 4 star, but nowhere in your wildest dreams does it merit that rating.We were there during the last two weeks of the season and it was pretty obvious that they were winding down, especially when the warning signs were there, running out of butter, feta, yoghurt, wine and various spirits during the time we were there. Okay,it was only for a day for most of the items, but still, it should not have been allowed to happen.We met up with other guests during the time there and they had various other complaints (see other reviews for the property),which included the options at meal times, the rooms, the staff and some of the facilities, or lack thereof. I appreciate and understand some of the negative comments, but from a personal perspectivewe always found something to eat, our room was cleaned on a daily basis, with daily towel changes and every other day linen changes.We could not fault any of the staff we had dealings with, in particular,Brad,Theo, Harris and our maid(Apologies for not remembering her name).The pool area was perfectly suitable with plenty of sunbeds available too, so no complaints there. Certainly there are issues with pictures on the website that had been taken however many years ago, as there were some pictures that showed locations within the hotel that did not exist in reality, perhaps that is something that should be investigated by TUI, but thats not for this review. One positive out of the stay was that all the guests were actually interacting with each other, how many times can you honestly say that has happened?One final thought thats worth considering, we all paid a fair amount of cash for our holiday at Memento and it may not have lived up to our expectations, but if you arrive and form an instantly negative impression, chances are that will remain with you for the duration of your stay, but if you accept that its maybe not quite as bad as you think it is and make the most of it, you may even surprise yourself and be able to look back and afford yourself a smile.
