    Not bad

We have just recently come back from here last week, we stayed here because of the reviews, I would reiterate that this NOT a luxurious place, it it very basic however, if you are not looking for mod cons and happy to eat out as what was provided in the kitchen wasn't enouth to do more then a quick bit of bread and a cuppa, there was no hen this place is good. It is very close to the beach and amenities about the same distance either way, the people working there are lovely and in turn we met some lovely people staying there, for the price we paid it was worth it, the only down side was the mosquitoes we were bitten loads lost count how many times, this sadly has put us off going again, if you have a good prevention then you'll be ok

    Good stay

Was a bit dubious after reading some reviews but needn't have been. Been to Greece loads of times and am aware that if you arrive late there may not be a reception-no big deal very clear instructions were left for us. Dimitris in the bar was welcoming and provided a much needed ice cold lager. The room was massive compared to similar apartments in the area. The balcony wasn't great but I dont spend anytime out there so no issue.Room cleaned and towels changed plenty for our 2 week stay.Pool area fine....could do with a little TLCWould absolutely return

    Avoid …

    rating09 Sept 2025

I suspect there are two types of holiday maker that stays here. Those who pay full price and those who get bargain deals. If you’re the latter, you get the not so nice rooms on the ground floor that don’t get serviced all holiday. If you pay by card then you are asked to pay an additional 24% tax plus 3% card fee. No one eats at the pool bar because you pay sea front restaurant prices for poor food. If they could charge you for the air that you breathe, they would. As it was, the safe had the batteries removed and you were charged €10 cash for the key for the week. Air con was €20 cash per night. We had an internal shower room (the shower was very spacious by Greek standards) but the extractor was woefully insufficient. The windows had no mosquito nets so we couldn’t open them. We therefore had to endure the damp bathroom air as there was no other means to air the place.Worst of all were the mosquitoes, ants and, at night, millipedes that infested the room.We couldn’t hack the full 7 nights and left early. We asked to be refunded for the remaining portion of tourist tax and air con but apparently they had no cash to do that.Parents: beware that these apartments do not have smoke alarms, carbon monoxide alarms or heat detectors.

    Poor Customer Service

    rating25 Aug 2025

We’ve stayed at many basic, traditional Greek apartments over the years and always found them full of charm, with welcoming hosts who go out of their way to make you feel comfortable. Sadly, that wasn’t the case here.If you arrive after 5pm, don’t expect a greeting. Instead, you’re left with confusing instructions that felt more like an escape room challenge than a simple check-in. When we finally got to our apartment, it felt more like a holding cell than the first night of our holiday, with no air conditioning in sweltering 28–29 degree heat.Other reviews have mentioned paying extra for air con, which we were fine with, but in our case we weren’t even given the choice. It would have been a simple gesture to leave the remote and trust us to settle the cost the next day, but instead we were left uncomfortable on our first night. For a short 4-night stay, that was really disappointing.Any interaction we did have with the owners felt dismissive, and unfortunately gave the impression that they were more interested in squeezing money out of guests than offering even a basic level of hospitality. This completely put us off spending time around the pool or in the complex itself. Instead, we went to the nearby beach, where we found plenty of bars and restaurants with the kind of warm, welcoming service and excellent food that you expect in Greece. If you’re looking for the traditional Greek hospitality that makes even the simplest apartments feel special, you’ll be happier staying elsewhere.Positive - good location.

    Excellent ⭐️

Nireas was a bit of a chance holiday as such a bargain and we did not know what to expect. It turned out to be one of the best holidays we have ever had!Eleonor on reception was excellent- a lovely warm lady who was super helpful and Dimitris who ran the bar was superb.. The apartments were immaculate, cleaned every few days and with spacious balconies. The pool was fantastic- the best I have seen for self catering apartments. Food at the bar was excellent. Two minutes left to the beach and an excellent choice of sea front restaurants, a few minutes right to the main area also with a good selection of restaurants and supermarkets. Perfect location. The Greek owners and staff loved cats which was a big plus for us as we have been to too many Greek resorts where there are hundreds of street cats and no one seems to care. There were no street cats in Achravi and the owners had three cats of their own ( which were neutered and sterilised) and they fed a few strays who came around, a big plus to come back for us - Greek locals who love animals. We are hoping to go back in September as we loved this place so much. Thank you Nireas apartments for a fantastic holiday. Hope to see you soon. 😎.
