  Extremely Disappointing Handling of a Lost Personal Item

  I stayed at this hotel from August 11th to 13th, in room 60, and unfortunately my experience was very disappointing. After checking out, I realized that my Ferragamo belt, which I had left inside the wardrobe, had gone missing.I contacted the hotel immediately, first by phone and then in writing, but the response was completely unsatisfactory.They claimed that “nothing was found,”Accepted no responsibility,Showed no genuine willingness to investigate the matter,And ultimately told me that I could “contact the authorities” if I wished.For a hotel that claims to follow strict procedures, the fact that a valuable personal item disappeared from my room and no real support or effort was offered is unacceptable.The way the situation was handled leaves a very negative impression regarding the hotel’s professionalism, accountability, and security. Sadly, I cannot recommend this hotel, and I will not be returning. For this reason, and as clearly communicated in our previous correspondence, we informed you that you are fully entitled to do so, and that we would of course cooperate with the authorities in the context of any official investigation. All this time we answered politely all your emails.As already explained multiple times, immediately after your initial notification, a thorough inspection of Room 60 was conducted, along with a review of our lost-and-found records and internal procedures. No such item was found, and no evidence has emerged to substantiate your allegation.We must also state clearly that our hotel has never recorded any similar incident in the past. Our staff operate under strict protocols, and unfounded accusations against our employees are taken very seriously.Given the absence of any proof supporting your claims, we are unable to take any further action on this matter. Should you choose to proceed with an official report to the authorities, we will fully cooperate and provide all necessary information, as is our obligation.

  A great Hotel and staff made for a wonderful holiday

  We are just home after a brilliant holiday at the Oasis. We were happy from the first friendly greeting at check-in right through to the last day three weeks later when we sadly had to say goodbye. Our family from the UK and Greece came during that time and stayed as well and everyone was equally blown away by the welcoming and friendly atmosphere the extremely efficient staff and the wonderful physical environment. The Hotel is smart, well appointed and very comfortable and extremely clean and we were very well looked after by excellent and attentive housekeeping staff. It is obvious that the owners (third generation I believe) have pride in their work and reinvest constantly to keep everything beautiful. The views are amazing and the swimming, especially across to the sandy bay, was magnificent. We had half board and our breakfasts were very tasty, nourishing and plentiful, so much to choose from.   It’s was a very memorable stay , we got upgraded to sea view room, the food and breakfast at the hotel are amazing ! You can see the flights landing from the window , very clean and tidy rooms, and all the staff are super friendly and welcoming. I can’t recommend you enough to stay there !

  Location is good, hotel is old but very clean, bathroom is renovated and very nice. Pool is good, beach not so much. Stuff is polite.

  We first visited this hotel 9 years ago, and it was here that we made the life-changing decision to adopt. This year, we returned with our adopted son (who is neurodiverse), and he was so excited to swim in the very pool where that decision was made.From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed with drinks and able to relax by the pool. The rooms were spotless, cleaned impeccably every day by the attentive housekeeping team.The food was outstanding, with new dishes daily—always high quality and delicious. We were initially worried about what our son would eat, as he had never stayed in a half-board hotel before. But then he discovered Atzoyn, “the meat man.” Our son, who has food avoidance as part of his neurodiversity, amazed us with his words over the two weeks:“I will eat anything that man cooks.”“What that man can do with meat!”“That man cooks better than Gordon Ramsay.”We couldn’t have asked for more from the staff, but some deserve special mentions:Maria, who took the time to check in on Dylan at breakfast and dinner, learned his name, and made him feel so comfortable—so much so that one day, when we bumped into her on the bus, our son even chose to sit with her (something that left us gobsmacked).Mario at the bar, always engaging, kind, and full of charm (forever trying to convince us to move to Corfu!).Vasso at reception, who greeted us every morning with a huge smile and a cheerful “Kalimera,” and every evening with a warm “Kalispera.”We also met several guests who return year after year—and now we can clearly see why.With love and gratitude,The Metcalfe-Picken Family Petros Kapsocavadis, Γενικός Διευθυντής at Oasis Hotel, responded to this review Dear Metcalfe-Picken Family,Your review truly touched our hearts.
