Location

Ideal for beach holidaymakers, singles and nature lovers, this spa hotel is situated in a quiet area in Agios Georgios Argirades, about 800 m from the sandy beach. There are a number of bars, restaurants and public transport stops close by.

Facility

The 92 rooms have a pleasant, inviting atmosphere. 16 villas/houses offer even more space and comfort. The multilingual staff at the reception desk in the lobby are ready to assist you with check-in and check-out. Guests receive a welcome drink upon arrival. Guests can store valuables in the safe. Wireless internet access (no extra charge) is provided in public areas. The resort offers a number of facilities for guests with disabilities. The complex has wheelchair-accessible facilities and a lift. A garden provides extra space for rest and relaxation in the open air. Additional facilities include a playroom. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the car park for no extra charge. Further services and facilities include a car hire service, room service (for a fee), an alarm call service, a laundry service, a page service and a hotel doctor.

Rooms

Air conditioning, central heating and a fan ensure that rooms maintain comfortable temperatures. Most of rooms include a balcony or terrace as a standard feature. The rooms have a double bed and a sofa bed. Separate bedrooms are available. A safe, a minibar and a desk are also available. Additional features include a mini fridge and a tea/coffee station. Equipped with a telephone, a TV and WiFi (no extra charge), the rooms provide many ways for guests to stay connected and entertained. Guests will also find slippers in their rooms. Bathrooms are equipped with a shower. A hairdryer, bathrobes and a telephone are provided. For extra comfort in the bathrooms, guests are offered cosmetic products. The resort has non-smoking rooms.

Guests can enjoy a refreshing swim in the outdoor pool area. Guests can relax and enjoy the sun loungers and parasols provided. Refreshing drinks are served at the poolside snack bar. The complex offers numerous indoor sports, including a gym, table tennis and darts or, for a fee, billiards. Third-party operators offer a spa and beauty salon. Entertainment options and leisure facilities include an entertainment programme and live music.

Meals

Dining facilities include a non-smoking restaurant, a dining room, a breakfast room, a café, a bar and a lobby bar. Refreshing drinks at the beach bar are a perfect way to enjoy warm weather. Catering options include bed and breakfast, half board and all-inclusive. All-inclusive holidaymakers enjoy special extras like snacks, in addition to a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. A generous breakfast buffet, lunch and a comprehensive dinner buffet offer plenty of delicious variety. Diet meals, gluten-free meals, vegetarian dishes and vegan food can be prepared on request.     A great resort. Rooms very spacious and clean. Lots of choice in the restaurant. Food was plentiful and always hot. Staff were constantly re-stocking and keeping everywhere clean and tidy. It would have been good to have some bottled water available with the all inclusive rate. Staff were friendly and attentive, especially the buggy drivers.I was slightly disappointed with the evening entertainment however. I fould it to be rather uninspiring and very chilly. Perhpas this improves further into the season.On the whole, a lovely, relaxing holiday and I would definately return.

    A real jewel of Corfu

    I spent a week at Sandy Beach Resort with my sister, and her children the last week of April. Initially when we arrived we felt the resort was very remote. We also had minor issues with our room size and plumbing. We approached the resort management and they blew us away with their response. They immediately changed our room to a bigger room, with a pool view. The manager Joseph was an excellent and supportive host. He was very supportive and reassuring. Listening to our concerns and sharing his vision for improvements to the customer experience at Sandy Beach Resort. One such thing is that the night time entertainment was in French. This is something Sandy Beach Resort are working on. The reason for it being French is because of a large contingent of French people who were visiting at that period. I and my sister are light sleepers and would hear a loud beeping sound in the early hours. We learned this noise was local owls which were part of the natural habitat and visually beautiful when we saw pictures of them. Joseph explained everything to us, and really took heed of any concern we have. Being a Muslim it was important the food I ate was Halal. Mr Joseph connected me with Eleni of guest relations, who personally escorted me to the Head Chef Demitris who reassured me everything was halal, and where breakfast options lacked halal options, the chef personally offered to source local halal sausages, and other options to cater for my needs. Once again resort employees going out of their way to support the customer. Eleni also provided valuable information to me and my family about excursions, and other activities to do in and around Corfu. She also helped to advise us about car rentals, and local customs. Eleni was very helpful and a credit to Sandy Beach Resort. On checking out Mr Joseph also offered my family a complimentary late check out as our flight was very late that evening. Mr Joseph and staff really went out of their way to make sure my family had a comfortable stay. I own a concierge business and will gladly recommend Sandy Beach Resort to my clients, friends and other family members. Me and my family look forward to visiting Sandy Beach Resort again in the near future.

    Birthday retreat away.

    First time visiting Greece and decided to stay at Sandy beach for my birthday. On arrival paid the unexpected amount in taxes. I had to wait roughly 30mins to be shown my room, with it being a big resort. Finally when a porter gave a small tour to the room, I was greeted with unpleasant drain smells and sewage flies in my room.The resort is quite big with a few shops, pools, activities and entertainment from the team, big thanks to Leo, Mario and Melissa welcoming my child, beach life guard Amir and the hotels, helpful photographer supervisor (Beautiful Pictures) all friendly and assets to the company. However I would say the food was not all what I expected so didn't eat much. Not enough fresh traditional Greek dishes were on offer and the beverages were full of sugars. The Corfu town is an hour away to eat outside the resort. Some parts of the hotel could do with modern refurbishment. On the plus side majority of the staff are pleasant and helpful.     We really enjoyed our stay at Sandy Beach Resort. The Family Room was good. It was cleaned daily. The restaurants are fine price quality wise. The animation team was great! We had a lot of fun! Visit Paxos and Antipaxos. A great excursion. Also a Thank you to the Guest Rellation team for surprising my wife.     A lovely worker named Marian really made such an amazing difference to our holiday this year! We really would like this to be acknowledged please.
