Great stay at the Elizabeth apartments.

    rating18 May 2026

A lovely stay at the Elizabeth apartments in Roda.We had a family room with sea view. This was a 2 bed apartment, 1 double room and 2 singles, upstairs looking out to the coast over the gardens of another hotel. The beds were firm but comfortable. There is a settee and chair in a small area with a large fridge. Tea and coffee are available only on arrival so bring your own if you want more. As it was a 4 person apartment it had 4 large mugs. These were changed daily by the cleaners who did a great job. We had clean towels and bedding every 3rd day.Plenty of hangers and hooks in the room. Not enough for 4 peoples towels in the bathroom.Large balcony with a table and 4 chairs. Extra rail for hanging towels etc on the balcony hand rail.Shower with shower gel/shampoo combination provided. Air conditioning and a safe available for a charge. Hairdryer available for a refundable deposit. It's set on a nice quiet road a 10 minute walk from shops and restaurants. The gardens are large, very well kept with lots of sunbeds and a big pool.Very friendly and welcoming staff. A very good atmosphere at the apartments.Breakfast has a good variety of hot and cold choices. The Greek yoghurt is delicious and there is a choice of fresh or tinned fruit and honey. The hot food has bacon, sausage, beans, hash browns and eggs. The eggs were hard boiled or fried and it would have been nice to have some scrambled eggs occasionally. The homemade kumquat marmalade was also delicious. Plenty of tables available for breakfast.Turn left out of the apartments for the shops and restaurants. Turn right for a rough road to the beach road. No lights along this back road but you get to see the fireflies at night and listen to the scops owl. You can walk along the beach road to Acharavi although it's quite rough at the moment due to construction of a big hotel. We like some of the restaurants at the far end of the beach road in Acharavi because of the good food and a great sunset. Bring a torch if you go that way at night.Overall a great stay and I would recommend the Elizabeth apartments. They do a private pickup and drop off if required. If possible avoid Corfu airport on a Friday or Monday when TUI have lots of flights and the airport struggles to cope. Lovely friendly hotel

    rating02 Oct 2025

First visit to Corfu and therefore this hotel. Recommended to us as being family run small quiet and friendly; it didn’t disappoint. All the staff were fantastic, very friendly and resolved any issues very quickly. Special mentions to Costa, Eleni and Wendy who engaged , chatted, helped and gave us ideas to explore. Add in the bar team, kitchen and house team and the whole place runs like clockwork with a friendly smile and interaction. I loved the way they remembered our names and our room. Service at pool, tables or restaurant was excellent. Food was excellent too though to be fair we ate in town restaurants too. Room was clean and comfortable, bed very good. Decor is a little tired but still a comfortable base. Plenty of sun beds, and seats around the bar. Pool was good too. Can really see why people return here and thoroughly recommend. We don’t usually return to the same resort but for this place we just might. Elizabeth Roda, Owner at Elizabeth, responded to this review Dear steve6244,Thank you so much for taking the time to share your wonderful review! 4th time to the Elizabeth and just as wonderful as the first stay. We call it "a little piece of heaven". The family and all the staff are amazing, nothing is ever too much trouble. The pool, the rooms and gardens are immaculate. The food is to die for. Looking forward to our 5th visit. It truly is a wonderful place. Lovely hotel.......if your face fits

    rating20 Sept 2025

Just returned from a holiday at the Elizabeth apartments....they are in a quiet/peaceful area a short walk from the beach front, The hotel is basic but comfortable and clean. The pool area is lovely and spacious with lots of comfortable sunbeds and the food was nice.....The service provided by the lovely Wendy was second to none she really is an asset there, the other staff were nice and pleasant......and then there was Eleni....she definitely has her "favourites" and will chat happily with her "returnees" and completely ignore other guests. With us, she would acknowledge us one day, ignore us the next, compliment us on another and got told off the next, which in my humble pensioner opinion is not a very professional approach for a manager/owner. We were also told that there is no courtesy room on checkout if your flight is later in the day, which I found very odd and hadn't come across this before Elizabeth Roda, Owner at Elizabeth, responded to this review Dear Jayneh,Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are pleased that you enjoyed the peaceful location, the cleanliness, the pool area, and the food.We are sorry if there were any misunderstandings during your stay. Our team works hard to make all guests feel welcome, and we regret if you felt this was not always the case. Please note that how staff choose to spend their personal moments is not something that affects the service we aim to provide to every guest.Regarding the courtesy room, due to the size and layout of our property we are unfortunately unable to provide this facility. We understand this may be different from other places you have stayed, but we always try to assist departing guests with alternative arrangements where possible. We value your comments and thank you once again for sharing your thoughts.Kind regards,Elizabeth

    Family Favourite

    rating20 Sept 2025

Although on our first visit to Roda we didn’t actually stay at the The Elizabeth but we were recommended to pay them a visit and use the pool facilities by a friend whose family visit it on a regular basis for over 35 years. We can now see why they return so regularly because we were treated like friends the moment we arrived and we were welcomed with open arms. This establishment is run by a lovely family who all muck in and do their various jobs with a smile and professionalism. The good size pool is kept very clean as are the surrounding gardens and patios. The sunbeds are super comfy with thick cushions on and the company name and logo stitched into it to add a touch of quality and they are very well spaced out under the many palm trees scattered around for some mix of sun and shade available. We had a daytime meal each of the 6 times we visited and what we had was reasonably priced served quickly nice and hot and was big portions and we enjoyed the lot. All brought to the table by the lovely Wendy who works tirelessly throughout the day. There’s a good range of drinks available and prices are in keeping with the local bars and restaurants. Each morning we arrived I signed the visitors book at reception and spoke with Eleni and she always made time for a small chat with me. Her Brother is Costas who came and introduced himself to us and was a delight to talk to and was full of fun and information even if he does support Panathiniakos. If we return to Roda we would head straight to Elizabeth for our stay this time because we left feeling content each time and we do feel that we’ve left as friends now. We can see why so Many people return here on a regular basis and I’m sure they feel like it’s home from home. Costas also does an airport shuttle service which must make the booking incredibly smooth and seamless and he told me he gives you an optional small Corfu Town sightseeing detour if you don’t want to head directly to the hotel. He has a 9 seater vehicle but knowing my luck he will arrive at the airport to pick me up on his Honda motorcycle. So Jackie and I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone involved at the Elizabeth for making us feeling so welcome and comfortable. Keep up the amazing work and effort. Many Thanks Adam and Jackie Elizabeth Roda, Owner at Elizabeth, responded to this review Dear Adam & Jackie,Thank you so much for your wonderful review. It’s also wonderful to hear that you left feeling content and at home — that is the greatest compliment we could receive. We truly look forward to welcoming you for a future stay and hope your next visit will be just as memorable.Warm regards,Elizabeth Apartments
