  Basic but very clean

  We have stayed here 3 times and have just booked our 4th! I feel that some of the reviews are very unfair. Yes,the apartments are basic but spotlessly clean. Our apartment was cleaned every other day and bed linen changed 3 times in 14 days. The family who own the property are extremely friendly and obliging. Any problem and I emailed Akis and things were sorted quickly. Self catering accommodation in Greece is usually basic but that’s no problem for us,as long as it’s clean,and Vasso always is. We would far rather have reasonably priced accommodation and spend our money on enjoying ourselves and eating out in the wonderful restaurants nearby. We don’t enjoy 5 star! Looking forward to our next visit We were last there in September 2020 but there’s no option for that

  Vasso apartments and Makis property is run by a family who are amazing hosts and they make you feel like home. If you want to enjoy a real Greek lifestyle, then look no further. Take your happy mood with you and there will be everything you need around you - the beach is in a walking distance, restaurants and shops as well are around the corner.…but if you don’t want to go nowhere, you can stay in - use the lovely swimming pool and taste the Greek food with an excellent grill master, Aki. I did relax, and enjoyed my time with my son. I am coming back next year knowing that I will be welcomed, and will enjoy the peaceful nature and great environment. Efcharisto to Aki and his parents for making our holiday! :)

  Not typical greek apartment

  It took us back to the Greek Isles 40 years ago with the cooker rings attached to the sink although we have visited many apartments during that time we have never seen so many things wrong in one apartment some of the drawers were falling apart untensils dirty hot water only available when sun shone beds like wooden boards cobwebs behind doors and rusty fridge the list could go on.However the worst is yet to come as we were vacanting the room the door closed behind us and locked us out with half our luggage still inside I contacted the owner to explain what had happened he came round and opened the door with a key he then went in a tantrum shouting never come to these apartments again we removed our things and left. As we were waiting for our bus he tried to say sorry be we did not think it was genuine.We would like to assure the owner we would not be going back nor would I recommend anyone else to do so.

  Words cannot convey how bad rooms are

  The worst place we have ever stayed in.The 1st thing to hit you is the stench of cigarette smoke. We could not hang ANYTHING in the wardrobe because it stunk of stale fags. We lived our entire holiday out of a locked suitcase. The mattress stunk. The pillows..well everything. The door net curtain was yellow while fag smoke and so bad i washed it to try and get stink out. But so inground did nothing.We left windows open while in room to try and lose smell BUT none of them have mesh Therefore in would come the wasps and mozzies Making it impossible to leave open if out.The cooker top...laugh after 2 hours the water still not boiling. Asked for a kettle. Next say 1 was in room. Flex melted. Wires sticking through.We had to buy our own toilet roll. Everything got soaked in shower/toilet while showering.Sheets..haha same stained ones all week. Towels...haha same. We arrived to a filthy room and left an even filthier one. I dropped a tablet the 1st night but left it on floor as so dirty...suprise...it was still ther when we escaped 7 smelly days later.   Typical Greek Studio

  My husband and I have just returned from a weeks holiday at the Vasso Studios in Moraitika, Corfu. This was a typical basic Greek studio. Two cooking rings, a fridge and basic crockery and cutlery. Don’t expect any frills. We were on first floor with a balcony at the back of the property. Very quiet, as it’s off the main road. Easy walk to supermarkets, shops and bus stops. 15 minute slow stroll to the beach. The family that run the studios are very friendly and helpful. We had a fabulous weeks stay. The only reason I gave four stars is because the towels were changed only once in seven days, and the sheets were never changed. Otherwise, would definitely recommend staying here for a quiet break. Our favourite restaurant was The Island. Fabulous food and excellent service. Head for the beach and The Sea Breeze on the left side of the sands has a free sunbed patch of grass. We loved this as we had the benefit of using the sea, but no sand on our towels. As long as you buy drinks and eat in the bar, you can stay in the sun beds all day. Messonghi is more sophisticated and well worth a visit. The sofas on the front looking out at sea are fabulous in the evening. Walk along the main road, or along the beach and get on the little water taxi for a Euro each.
