Ideal for beach holidaymakers, families and singles, this first-class resort is located in Rethymnon and is right by the sea. Guests can reach the centre after approximately 2 km. The nearest shops and nightlife can be reached within about 2 minutes' walk.

Facility

Guests have a choice of 112 non-smoking rooms, 3 suites and 103 double rooms. The reception desk is open round the clock. Amenities at the resort include a currency exchange service. Wireless internet access (no extra charge) is provided in public areas. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The resort has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. The resort has wheelchair-accessible facilities. There are a number of shops as well. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the car park. Further services include a babysitting service (on request and for a fee), a childcare service, a car hire service, medical assistance, 24-hour room service, an alarm call service and a page service. Rooms

Kids can splash around in one of the 2 children's pools. A short break or an entire afternoon on the sun terrace, which features sun loungers and parasols, is time well spent. Guests can unwind in the on-site hot tub. For guests who wish to keep active, tennis, golf and horse riding are available. Water sports enthusiasts can enjoy windsurfing, sailing and snorkelling. Sport and leisure facilities at the resort include a gym, darts and callisthenics. Various wellness options are available at the complex, including a sauna, a steam bath, a hammam, a beauty salon and massage treatments. The resort offers an entertainment programme for adults.

Meals

The dining area includes a bar. Guests can indulge their palates at 2 restaurants (non-smoking, air conditioning and high chairs). Refreshing drinks at the beach bar are a perfect way to enjoy warm weather. Catering options include bed and breakfast and half board. A breakfast for early birds and late risers, lunch and dinner tempt guests with a wide range of dishes. Special meals, including diet meals, are also available.     Lovely hotel, not to big and close to the beach. Nice and friendly staff. Especially Popi. She’s always in a good mood and joking with the guests. The food is great as well. We had a lovely stay.     We spent a week in the Aegean Pearl, right at the end of the season in October, and had a fantastic week. Although it’s a small hop across the road to the beach, there is a pedestrian crossing and the hotel has its own section of beach with sun loungers and umbrellas. There’s also a water sports kiosk only 20m away, for parasailing, jet skis etc.The hotel has a nice pool (although a bit fresh!) and the week we were there, there was never any trouble in getting loungers.As regards food, we tended to have dinner out (it’s only a 5 minute taxi ride to the old town and there’s a rank about 20m from the hotel) but the pool bar was good for lunches and the buffet breakfasts in the restaurant were excellent.The best thing for us was the split level family room - twin beds and a shower room downstairs (plus balcony), with a king size and bathroom upstairs, both with a sea view. All the staff were really lovely and helpful, particularly whenever we needed anything. Just to mention some, the names which especially come to mind are Eygenia, Babis, Katerina, Spiros, Stergios and Popi.If we were back in Rethymnon, the Pearl would definitely be our choice again.     This was our second visit to this lovely hotel. The hotel is situated across the road from the beach, with an approximate 30-40 minute flat walk to the old town of Rethymnon. Alternatively you can use the local bus or taxis available from outside the hotel. The hotel is kept clean and tidy. The rooms and beds are comfortable and we slept really well. We found the food at both breakfast and dinner excellent, even better than last year. A good variety of dishes that were well prepared and tasty. You won’t go hungry here. The staff are friendly, welcoming and a credit to the hotel. Management are visible and check that guests are enjoying their stay. Medium size pool with comfy padded sunbeds. During our stay we didn’t see any towels reserving beds with an efficient and friendly lifeguard looking after the pool. The sunbeds on the beach are free, however we found that more sunbeds had been added since last year and now too close together. We decided to walk 2 minutes down the beach and pay 7 Euros for more space and comfort. There’s lots of exploring to do in the old town. However if you wish to stay local to the hotel there are a few nice bars, taverns and shops. The hotel also provides nightly entertainment. All in all a great holiday, resort and hotel.     Fantastic experience from start to finish. Made us all very welcome. Breakfast was second to none and definitely 5 star..bedrooms well equipped and spotless excellent shower and comfy beds. Also we were allocated 2 very quite rooms with side sea view. Provided travel cot and all bedding for infant.     Lovely experience from the hotel.clean bedrooms- with towels and daily cleaning to high standards Perfect beachside location, the private beach is delivery to a bed for drinks and snacks.
