Location

This hotel is right at the heart of Almyrida, right beside an amazing sandy beach. Shops, bars and tavernas are to be found close at hand. There is a bus station close to the hotel. Almyrida is approximately 20 km east of Chania and from Kournas Lake. Chania-Souda Airport is approximately 30 km from the hotel and Heraklion-Nikos Kazantzakis Airport is around 115 km away.

Facility

The resort has 44 non-smoking rooms, which are located on 3 storeys and are reachable by lift. The reception desk in the lobby is staffed round the clock. A cloakroom, a safe and a currency exchange service are available. Wireless internet access allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. The grounds of the resort feature a playground and a lovely garden. Additional amenities include a TV room, a playroom and a library. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the car park. Other services include medical assistance, room service (for a fee), a laundry service and a hairdresser.

Rooms

Air conditioning and adjustable central heating ensure that rooms maintain comfortable temperatures. Guests can enjoy the sea view from a balcony or terrace. Rooms include a double bed. Separate bedrooms are available. Children's beds can be requested for younger guests. A safe, a minibar and a desk are also available. The kitchenette comes with a refrigerator, a mini fridge and a tea/coffee station. Equipped with a direct dial telephone, a television with satellite/cable channels and WiFi (no extra charge), the rooms provide many ways for guests to stay connected and entertained. A hairdryer and a vanity mirror are available in the bathrooms, which are equipped with a shower and a bathtub. Guests can also book wheelchair-friendly rooms with wheelchair-accessible bathrooms.

Sport

While the adults swim a few laps in the outdoor pool, children can enjoy splashing about in their own swimming area. A short break or an entire afternoon on the sun terrace, which features sun loungers and parasols, is time well spent. Refreshing drinks are served at the poolside snack bar. Guests can take part in a comprehensive water sports programme, which includes water skiing and catamaraning, with windsurfing, canoeing, water aerobics and aquafit available for a fee. Sport and leisure options include a gym or, for a fee, billiards and bowling. There is a wellness area with a spa, a sauna, a hammam, a beauty salon and anti-ageing treatments. Subject to charge: massage treatments. A kids' club and live music are also options for entertainment.

Meals

Dining facilities include a dining room, a breakfast room, a café and a bar. The non-smoking restaurant provides high chairs for children. Catering options include bed and breakfast and half board. At breakfast and dinner, guests serve themselves at the generous buffet. Various dishes can be ordered à la carte for lunch and dinner. Special meals, including vegetarian dishes, are also available.

    Almyrida residence is a beautiful hotel! Me and my sister stayed here for a week.We were lucky to get an upgrade of our room. Tonya helped us with a big smile and lots of love! We had a great stay. The service, especially with Theo and Tonya as the enthusiastic angels they are! The cleaning was perfectly everyday and the cleaning-staff always had a smile on their faces.The food at the rooftop is amazing and so is the people working there! The sunbeds and the pools are comfortable(both outside and inside). I can highly recommend this hotel! We will come back!

    The Almyrida Residence was perfect in every way. Right in the heart of Almyrida lies this modern, comfortable and spotless hotel where the staff are friendly and nothing is too much trouble. So many people have reviewed the hotel and its facilities, fantastic breakfasts, great buffet style evening meals, stunning rooftop terrace and pool etc, all of which is true but for us it was the staff that made our stay so special.I don't want to get into a Gwyneth Paltrow style Oscar acceptance speech as we didn't get to know everyone's names but Theo.....every hotel should have a Theo. He would brighten up the dullest of days! Great banter from the start but also very helpful to us when it came to advice. We were there to put a family members' apartment on the market (so not a holiday) and he saved us a lot of wasted time on matters we had no knowledge of. Popi is dedicated to her job as is her team, making sure everyone is happy and the rooms are immaculate. She was another breath of fresh air. Hand on heart, they all were.The staff without exception were friendly and attentive so a big 'thank you' to you ALL for making our stay so enjoyable. As a hotel experience, this was by far the best.

    I was recommended to stay at the Almyrida Residence Hotel and it did not disappoint. The hotel is spotless, breakfast excellent with lots of choice. There is a fabulous rooftop bar to enjoy a drink whilst watching the sunset. From my room there was a view of the beach one way and the other the White Mountains. The staff were kind and helpful. I would like thank Theo on reception who went out of his way to assist with all of my requests and nothing was too much trouble.
