  Amazing owners and staff. CAR ESSENTIAL

  YOU NEED A CAR! THERE IS NOTHING WITHIN WALKING DISTANCE IN THE HOT SUN! we didn't get that memo and arrived by taxi at 1am. There was water in the fridge thankfully ( one of two in this large 2-bedroomed apartment). 2 x single beds in each bedroom slept 4 of us adult two teens and one 10 year old. Beds were so comfy and sheets crisp and clean. The pool is large and the pool and beds are kept beautifully clean. Kitchen has all you need in terms of 2-ring hob, coffee maker sandwich toaster and kettle, lots of dishes pans and utensils. Ordinarily we would eat out each night but we DIDNT HAVE A CAR lol. Its for this reason I'm giving the place 5 stars! The owners and staff are amazing. The cleaner first offered to take us shopping after work but when Ruby the owner heard we were stuck, she was straight to the rescue! She took us shopping and to the beach. Seraphim the barman/reception was a delight, so cheerful and helpful. The sunrise/sunsets are incredible here. The area is peaceful and fairly remote. We would definitely stay here again with a hire car

  We have just been at Anthemis for four days and had the most perfect holyday. Quiet, clean, friendly and reasonable price. We recommand that you rent a car at the airport, because you need a car to get to the shops, beaches and everything else.

  Felt Like Home

  This didn't feel like a hotel, this felt like I was home. It was peaceful, wonderful, beautiful and friendly. The Owners and staff treat you like family. They will sit with you and talk about the island or BS. They will help you navigate the island. Tell you the best places to shop or places to visit. They actually care if you have a wonderful visit on the island. The rooms are huge and roomy! It comes fully equipped with a small kitchenette and dishes. Maid service 6 days a week. I recommend anyone who visits Crete, Greece to stay at this hotel. It is out of the way from the hustle and bustle of the noisy city but close enough you could through a stone at it. Everywhere you look it is beach, beach, beach, beach, BEACH!! The view is spectacular any time of the day. Fabulous hotel!!

  Nothing was ever too much for our incredibly welcoming owners Ruby and Yannis. They were so much help. The appartments are well equipped though maybe a little more kitchen equipment would have helped those wishing to cook for themselves. We chose to eat out in the local area which has numerous excellent tavernas and restaurants and all generally reasonably priced. Bedrooms were well equipped and had air con in both ..beds probably best suit those who prefer a hard mattress, the appartment was cleaned every day which was lovely. Wi if is available in the reception area but not in the rooms. We were in room 6 which was a really good size with a fantastic large terrace/ balcony with an incredible sea view. The pool area is superb, clean and uncrowded with a really lovely large pool.This area of Crete is beautiful and I would recommend it to anybody looking for a relaxing holiday in an unspoilt part of the island. Close to both the airport and Chania town it is also an ideal base for exploring, a car is essential... Thanks once again to our hosts you were fantastic.

  This hotel has the best servce :)Owners are making big difference.Durnig our stay they accomodated us the best way the could.Because we reserved last minute we were unable to stay in the same room but the owners find the way to accomodate us. We were moving like 3 times, but they did everything to make our stay comfortable.In addtion to that, the hotel was priced pretty good(reasonable for a family).Very good location , close to restaurants and to Chania.Beautiful sandy beach and lovely view from the balcony.
