    Good Value Hotel

    rating07 Sept 2025

Just come home from a fabulous 2 weeks holiday at Apollon it was a long transfer but apartments are excellent spotless clean and staff can’t do enough to make your stay enjoyable. The hotel is in a residential area and the locals are very friendly, there are 3 restaurants literally 2 mins walk and the beach is a 15 minute stroll you can also catch the bus into old town which is 15 minutes by bus .The bar area is always well stocked and they also do snacks in the day around pool from 12-4, pool was always busy and people reserving sunbeds very early with towels but wouldn’t return till afternoon , we used beach a lot because of the reserving of sunbeds .Only downside was it was self catering so had a kettle , fridge and two ring portable cooker cutlery and plates , would have been nice to have a toaster for the mornings .Overall the hotel is pleasant and spotless clean and all staff made us feel welcome. For what we paid it was excellent.

    10/10 experience. Highly recommend.

    rating03 Sept 2025

As a first time visitor, I am hoping this won't be my last. The place is fantastic with a real family feel. Beautiful serene surroundings, all usual amenities in the room, comfy beds, great WiFi. A well stocked kiosk and 2 or 3 lovely well priced restaurants a stones throw away, a large Lidl a short walk and then the large beach and main strip of shops, bars, restaurants approx 10-15 mins. I would highly recommend visiting the beach for sunset. 2 beds and an umbrella was 10€ for the day. All of the staff were very friendly and accommodating, we arrived in the middle of the night and our key and air con remote was left for us to take. Air con, WiFi and the safe is an optional additional charge but again, reasonable. I visited as a single mum with two children and felt completely at ease and safe at the property and the surrounding areas. The communal areas (pool, lobby etc) were always spotless as were the rooms with regular cleans and towel changes. There was no issue with the kids playing in the pool, they got excitable at times but this was never met with any negativity from staff members. Inflatables, balls etc all welcome. Sunbeds were always available even with it being the summer holidays. No 6am dash required to get your towels out! This hotel and area is definitely somewhere I would like to visit again and being a regular visitor of Turkey/Spain over the years, the value for money you get here is incredible. Please don't let the negative reviews put you off. Apollon Apartments really felt like a home away from home.

    My favourite place!

    rating02 Sept 2025

I’ve been coming to the Apollon since 2003, when I was just 15. Now, as a mum of two, I still absolutely love it just as much as I did back then. It’s such a lovely, family run place peaceful, friendly, and in a great little spot where you really feel part of the local community. You’ve got a Lidl just a 7 minute walk away for all the essentials, and a couple of brilliant tavernas (Pagonas and Stratos) right at the end of the street. The main strip with all the restaurants, bars, and beach is only about a 10-15 minute walk, so everything’s super easy to get to.The apartments themselves are always spotlessly clean, and the staff are just the best so friendly and welcoming, and they always remember us when we come back. The grounds are beautiful, with flowers everywhere, and the interiors are tidy with marble floors, plenty of wardrobe space, and little touches like an oven/hob, a hairdryer, and more. (Though I do still bring my own hangers and an extension lead creature of habit!)The bar area is lovely and has always had great bar staff over the years really chatty, kind, and genuinely happy to help. Cocktails are well priced and really good too! This time Vasilas was behind the bar, and he was amazing he’d happily whip up the kids’ favourite fruit punches every evening without a fuss. Jack (Iakovos), a past barman we loved wasn’t working this time but we bumped into him in the Old Town and had a lovely catch up in passing. Just shows the kind of people this place attracts and keeps. There’s a good range of simple but tasty bar snacks during the day, which is perfect if you're hanging by the pool.Speaking of the pool it’s not massive, but it’s perfect for cooling off. Even the deep end is shallow enough for adults to stand in, and there’s a separate toddler pool too. It’s a great place to chill with a book while the kids play. Inflatables are allowed, and yes, people do reserve sunbeds early but honestly, there are always extras around, and we never struggled to find one even during the school holidays.I have seen a few negative reviews recently, and I just want to say don’t let those put you off. We were there for two weeks at the end of August with family and friends, and yes, during the first week, there were a few unsupervised kids causing a bit of chaos by the pool. But that’s down to the parents, not the hotel. We just kept to ourselves and didn’t let it spoil anything. As for the "gangs of local kids" people mentioned honestly, in all my years coming here, I’ve never seen anything like that. You’ll see some local kids playing in the evenings, but they’re always polite and friendly. We often get a cheery kalispera from them! It’s upsetting to see a few harsh comments that might affect such a lovely, hardworking, family run business. So many people return year after year and that speaks volumes. I’ve been 10 times now, and I can honestly say it’s my favourite place in the world. Yes, it’s a 3-star apartment setup but the hospitality and heart here are five-star, no doubt.Food-wise, Pagonas at the bottom of the street is a must visit she’s great with both kids and adults, and the food is fab her yellow rice and meatballs are a must. Marem has been my go to since I was a teen (the beef stifado is unreal), and we also really enjoyed Kellari this time around. It’s true some tavernas have closed over the years and things feel a bit quieter, but the quality and friendliness are still just as strong. If you’re after a relaxed, welcoming place with clean rooms, friendly staff, and a great location close to everything but just tucked away enough for peace and quiet Apollon is 100% the place to stay.

Great place with friendly responsible staff because...

    rating01 Sept 2025

I stayed with my family at this hotel and we had a great time. The staff are very friendly and helpful, the rooms were really clean and well maintained, food and drink prices were reasonable and there were always available sun beds for me and my Family. There were 3 kids (twins and a kid from another family) although I understand that they were on their summer holidays and as such, we do expect them to have fun, splash a bit and be loud, just like every other kid. The issue was that when these 3 kids were together, they had no care for others, they would "cannon ball" into the pool with no regard to who was around them, they popped most of the inflatables that were left there by other families, they kicked a pool ball onto a tree and laughed about it, this continued for 3 days before I had to intervene. The first time, I asked politely (as they are 10/11 year old children) to stop cannon balling next to my wife but they just looked at me, laughed and then started mocking me. I am a very old school person so as you can imagine, I didn't take that kind of behavior loosely. The next day they did it again to an older couple and they got told off by them but again, they just laughed and carried on. Later the same day they came to the edge of the pool where I was with my wife and they started splashing each other lightly but then, they mega splashed, we got wet again, and then I proceeded to tell them off by raising my voice and telling them to go splash close to their families and not to me. They looked at me, swam away and started laughing at us again. It is worth mentioning that the pool rules CLEARLY estate that children under the age of 14 years of age are to be supervised at all times by an adult. This was NOT the case for the twins as the mother would not be see for most of the day until the day where her kids got told off by me. It was my wife that went to speak to her as she seemed to be there with her kids and not the father as far as we could tell. My wife tried to explain in detail what had been happening for the last 72 hours but this lady just said that we were swearing at her because my wife told her other hotel guests are also annoyed (we said P.....ed off) at there kids behavior . That is not swearing at her at all!Later that day I went and spoke with the father of the other kid to let him know that I had raised my voice at his kid, I had explained the reasons why I did, I told him how many times this had been happening, and I asked him to please keep an eye on it. He was very polite and understanding, there was no hard feelings and from that point onwards I did not have any more issues with his kid.The very next day the kids wanted to play hide and seek and started running around the hotel while wet. The floors are made out of marble and very slippery when wet. The hotel manager told them once to not run around the hotel as the floor is getting wet and there are older couples that might slip and hurt themselves. the kids then went to the back of the hotel and entered it to start playing hide and seek while wet again. It was at this moment that the hotel manager had to really step in and tell the parents that either this behavior stops or they will be removed from the hotel. There where at least 4 other families that got upset at the kids behavior as after I told the kids off, they came to me to say thanks for doing this. There were many other kids during my stay(including my own) and they were also loud and jumping into the pool, playing with pool balls/floaties and splashing, but the difference was that all the other kids were considerate of the people around them and even if they splashed someone by accident they would immediately apologize and most importantly, not do it again.I understand that as a parent you want your kids to have fun but also, you need to make sure that your kids behavior is not having a negative impact on other guests as at the end of the day we are all on holiday to relax and have a good time.Jet2 should take action on the 2 bad reviews that have been left for this hotel (below this one) and take both sides of the story as there were at least 4 families that agree with my above review.
