  One of the very best All Inclusive Holidays we have ever had🎉🥳👍😁😃😀

  My wife and I wanted a week away and selected this place because of all the superb reviews. We were booked to stay from Wednesday 15th to Wednesday 22nd April 2026. When we arrived we received a very warm welcome and were made to feel very much at home. We were given room 4005 which has its own small private pool and is right next to the beach. Our room was superb, clean, spacious and had everything we wanted. We did notice on arrival that the electronic traffic light system they have in place for room status was not working. A Green light means (Make Room Up). Blue which seems to reflect that all is Ok (Check In). Red (Do Not Disturb) which we found was inoperative. This was rectified the following morning and worked 100% after that. Our room had towels for the beach, safe, coffee making percolator, tea/coffee with kettle facilities, fridge with 8 cans of soft drinks topped up daily. There were two pairs of slippers, dressing gowns, hairdryer, TV etc and all excellent.I will say right up front that all the positive reviews for this place are absolutely spot on. We had the best time here and would certainly stay here again. What I would emphasis is that this place is very family orientated. There are superb facilities with children in mind with the water park, water slides and entertainments etc and all very safe. There are areas that are just adult only so there is a perfect compromise for all.We were on the All Inclusive package and this is by far one of the very best we have ever been on. As you will see from my numerous reviews We have been all over the world and stayed in many hotels and can really promote the excellent service, food quality and drinks on offer. "Ariadne" is the main restaurant which everyone can use for Breakfast , Lunch & Dinner and is like an absolutely massive buffet canteen with tables inside and outside. Every meal time they have so much choice that you just simply cannot fail to find something to eat. If I tell you that after one week I put on 12Lb in weight you will be able to tell how much I really enjoyed the food etc. They are open 07:00 - 11:00 Breakfast, Lunch 12:30 - 14:30, Dinner 18:30 - 21:30 and Late Buffet Dinner 21:30 - 01:00. One member of staff who stood out for us in here was Katerina. "Dia" is the Meat & Grill buffet/table service restaurant and you are only allowed to use this once in the evening during your stay. Booking a table in advance with reception is required. To be quite honest this was not our favourite specialist restaurant, but the food and service are very good. You help yourself to a buffet starter and the main in then ordered at the table and brought over to you. This very same restaurant is also used during the day from 10:00 - 17:30 and is a snack bar with lots to choose from."Avra" is the Mediterranean restaurant and again you need to book in advance. All guests with Private Pool or Penthouse accommodation (preferred accommodation) may dine or have breakfast without extra cost. All other guests may dine free twice per stay. Prior booking with a reservation via reception is required. Again you help yourself to a buffet starter and the mains which you order separately are brought over to you. They are open for Breakfast 07:30 - 10:30 and Dinner 19:00 - 21:00."Sunset" is the Asian Buffet restaurant and was quite simply our most favourite restaurant by far. The food was absolutely mouth-watering and we managed to eat here three times during our seven night stay. Again though prior reservation through reception is required. The team leader who ran this area really efficiently was Kaycee and she was brilliant. She was really well backed up by the lovely, friendly and efficient Margaretta. The variation on all the buffet food on offer was just excellent. We went up more than once to enjoy the brilliantly cooked and displayed food. We really cannot fault the quality and the atmosphere as this restaurant looks out over the sea and we loved it.Pool bars are dotted around in the main area for Adults and the Family/Children area. As our Bungalow was near the Family/Children area we used this many times and we absolutely loved the really wonderful server in this bar called Irini. She was so friendly, warm , efficient and had genuine time to speak with everyone she met. By the end of just one day she had remembered that I loved Havana Club & Coke with Ice and my wife loved Beefeater Gin & Tonic with Ice. The main character at this bar was Tony whose superb extravert personality and warmth was very much appreciated by all. In the evenings we went to the Adult bar area and were always served by the really lovely Olga. She seemed to always be working and when she was not in the pool bar she was in the entertainments/Tv lounge bar area working. She is a great credit to the Arina Beach. Like Irini in the Family/Children bar, Olga also within minutes had our drinks noted and this obviously saved us time when we got to the bar as our drinks were being made ready as we approached.What I will say is this place we were told could house 1000 guests. We thought the place was half full but were told that there was actually 900 guests staying. This says something about the lay out of this unique All Inclusive resort as it never looked busy and there were always plenty of loungers spare dotted all around the resort. The beach is narrow is some areas but overall many people enjoyed a dip but we found it quite cold as was our own pool. Transfer from the airport costs if you just get a taxi off your own back 30 euros each way. We did this as we thought there would be delays due to bio-metric screening at Heraklion. Little did we know they still had not implemented them. To sum up we would both highly recommend and would stay here again in a heart beat. A big thank you to Tatianna on reception who actually kindly printed off our boarding passes for our flight the day we left. She was so helpful, warm & friendly and appreciated all she did for us.

  From the minute we landed our experience was fantastic.we had a bungalow with private pool and it was brilliant, the room was big and lively for the 3 of us and the pool was great.we loved being able to go to the beach then back to our private pool.beds very comfy, shower great, loved having fridge restocked everyday.the food was brilliant, we were there for 2 weeks and we were never bored of the food choice.all the staff in main restaurant were fantastic. The Chinese restaurant was also really good and made a change some evenings.the kids water park was really good touch, lifeguards were not the friendliest and I did speak to the manager about this.The only thing I would critisise was the entertainment team, especially for kids.it wasn’t the best and the kids disco was very very repetivie however we that didn’t dampen our holiday.one of the best nights was the Greek night, we loved joining In and learning some moves.We highly recommend the hotel and we will defo be going back.   We had a memorable journey at the Arina resort in Crete! It is much suited for famillies with great activities (beach right in front), good food (also options for vegetarians) and a room with beautiful view. Only minor improvement to suggest: kids time in the hot pool is only from 10h to 13h which can be frustrating for them in the afternoon when the water or weather is cold outside. Otherwise all great!   A great holiday which was based extremely well on a great hotel resort

  Just a short journey from the airport which was great. The resort was well located on the beach practically. The check in staff were helpful and pleasant. We were very pleased with the room we were given. It was comfortable, clean, relatively spacious and well appointed. Especially seeing our balcony led us directly into a good pool and sun lounging area. Food was very good, quality and selection much appreciated and the restaurant staff were really helpful and polite. The various areas of the hotel were really clean and well looked after.   Absolutely fantastic time here. We had a penthouse overlooking the beach, it was very roomy, plenty of hanging space, comfy beds, large balcony and fabulous rainforest shower. The fridge was refilled every morning with water and soft drinks and the whole place is spotlessly clean and smells gorgeous.The food is really good, loads of choice for adults and children alike. We tried the Asian restaurant one night and that was good too.There's plenty of spaces to just sit and chill out overlooking the sea, and even though the main dining room got busy, there were still plenty of tables, but they are spaced well apart so you don't feel like you're sitting on top of one another.All the staff are lovely, very helpful and cheerful. I had a great massage in the spa while i was there.There's a bus stop outside into Heraklion, and one across the road to Hersonissos. Also a couple of gift shops/ supermarkets. We had a lovely relaxing stay and will be returning.
