    Lovely Hotel in a Quiet Part of the Village

    We stayed at this hotel and really enjoyed the peaceful location, right in the old part of the village.The staff were wonderful – very friendly, warm, and welcoming. The lady at the reception was incredibly kind and helpful, and the housekeeper, Mira, was very attentive and professional.The rooms are modern and spotlessly clean, which we really appreciated.Breakfast was tasty and had a good variety, though it was the same every day.The only downsides were the cold water in the pool and the long walk to the promenade and beaches.Other than that, we had a great stay and have nothing to complain about.     Just got back from a great stay here staff are so great nothing is to much trouble Maria is just so so helpful with her local knowledge and places to see the housekeeping are great so happy and always smiling Very clean hotel rooms very spacious pool area could do with a little TLC but great space Very quiet hotel and just a stones throw away from local village which is a fantastic location to eat very authentic and great atmosphere every night would definitely stay again Management Team, Sales at Axel Beach Crete, responded to this review Dear Guests, Thank you for your excellent review.     This hotel is the best we’ve ever stayed at. My husband and I have just spent 9 days there and had the most wonderful time. The hotel is extremely clean and has very pleasant amenities. It is in a beautiful location, has every facility you need but most importantly the staff were sooooo pleasant. Nothing was too much trouble and everything was done with smiling happy faces. From Nicholai the manager, Maria the receptionist and definitely not forgetting the marvellous bar staff George, Raphael and the lovely Angela. You all helped give us the best holiday ever.     Me and my partner stayed here, we had an amazing experience, the rooms are very clean, modern and spacious.     The experience we are having at the hotel is not at all what we expected. I came here to relax and create good memories. I want to express my gratitude to some team members, including Maria, Rafael, and all the staff in the morning—you are doing a great job, and the food is delicious!However, there are issues with the management, particularly with Anastasia, which have made us feel uncomfortable. The use of irony in communication, as well as the presence of management dining in the restaurant alongside customers, has contributed to a feeling of pressure in the environment. They need to focus on their staff operations at hand.Additionally, the hotel is situated next to a motorway, resulting in constant noise. We also cannot forget about the dogs that can be heard at night.Overall, we do not feel that we are in a 4-star hotel. First of all, you mentioned that you had difficulty sleeping because of noise, the barking dogs in the area and noted that you are a light sleeper, in this regard, we met you halfway and kindly upgraded your room category from Standard to Premium at no extra charge. Despite this fact, you were not satisfied with the wooden frame at the head of the bed after you accepted it. At this case we would like to mention that all hotel photos of various room types as well as descriptions are posted on our website for the acquaintance of guests. In the bar-restaurant we made every effort to satisfy your requests and you were provided with free mineral water of the best quality. All our personnel certainly strived to provide the highest level of service during your entire stay. Despite the fact that you doubted the involvement of the manager in the work of the various departments and in order to resolve the request as well as relieve you of doubts and improve their experience, the hotel manager personally offered you an additional free night of accommodation, which you accepted. But 15 minutes later you returned and asked for a refund of 50% of the total cost of the holiday in cash, which we couldn't accept. We apologize that our service did not meet your expectations during your visit. Providing excellent customer service is at the core of what we do and our goal is always to provide a fast and efficient service. We hope you will have a wonderful time ahead!
