  Small hotel, central location

  Azure Mare is a small and friendly hotel with about 60 rooms over 3 floors, conveniently located just steps from the coast, with plenty of restaurants, bars, cafés, supermarkets, and shops nearby.Check-in was quick and easy, and there’s a small lift to help with luggage. The staff were consistently friendly and helpful throughout our stay.Our room was comfortable, though it could use a little freshening up. We had booked a Side Sea View room — our balcony overlooked the pool area, with a lovely glimpse of the sea. Rooms on the opposite side face the street but still offer a partial sea view. The air conditioning and fridge worked perfectly, though there was no kettle or hairdryer provided.Beds were fairly comfortable, and the blackout curtains were excellent. Bed linen was changed once during our 11-night stay, and towels were replaced on request. The hotel also provides earplugs, which came in handy, as the nearby Palm Beach Club plays music from about 10 am until the early hours. Fortunately, once the balcony doors were closed, we hardly heard anything and slept well.The bathroom was compact but functional. The layout was a little awkward, with the sink positioned right behind the door, and the shower tended to overflow slightly — we used the floor towel to catch the excess water. A shower gel dispenser would have been a nice touch.There’s a security safe in the room, and pool/beach towels that can be hired for a small extra charge.Breakfast was served buffet-style, offering a basic but satisfying range of hot and cold items. It could get busy at times, but we always found a table without much trouble. An evening buffet was also available, though we didn’t take this option.The pool area is small but pleasant, with around a dozen sunbeds and good sunshine in the afternoon. It never felt crowded, and we were always able to find a spot to relax for a few hours.Overall, Azure Mare is a well-located and welcoming hotel that’s ideal for guests looking for good value, friendly service, and easy access to the beach and local amenities.   Basic and dated needs improvementRoom not very clean on our arrival bathroom sink and taps dirty we arrived late at night so cleaned bathroom ourself general cleaning of the room was poor throughout our stay Bathroom very small sink coming away from wall draining outlet on floor not fitted properly could easy cause an accident.Bathroom door would not close wooden all chipped and paint peeling off.Fridge dirty on arrival and all rusty inside No tea/coffee making facilities in room asked at reception were told this is a Hotel not an apartment!Breakfast choice was good, but hot choices were cold so we stuck to the cold choices.Balcony was nothing like the hotel description furniture was old and very stained wooden tiles or decking on the balcony was broken and poorly fit.Pool area was scruffy again nothing like hotel photos wooden slats on floor loose and broke in places sunbeds wobbly and held together with screws.Bar next door play music until 5am so noise was horrendous so did not sleep well hotel do give out free ear plugs think noise level should be stated in hotel description.One evening of departure there was no shower or changing facilities we did ask to keep room on but this was not possible luggage had to be left in reception as no luggage storage available.Good location close to beach and all other amenities.Unfortunately for us we would not return to this hotel nor would we recommend it EUROHOTEL team, Sales at Azure Mare, responded to this review Thank you for your feedback.   HOTEL FROM HELL

  Upon arrival the man at reception asked us for a “hotel voucher”. We showed him our hotel booking through Tui with all the details on it. He proceeded to take my phone and start scrolling through. He said “if I don’t have hotel voucher I don’t get paid from Tui and you have to pay”. He gave us an email address and said we could go to our rooms but email the voucher. I found this very unprofessional and unnerving. When we got to our rooms we met by very noisy music from a club next door. This music was so loud it vibrated the room. This music went on until 05.30am. We had no sleep. The rooms were dark, when you had a shower, the whole toilet got wet, there was no drawers to put clothes. After one night, with no sleep and the worry of how we were treated by reception, we had no option but to find alternative accommodation. We regret if the communication upon arrival left you feeling uneasy.Regarding the external noise, we completely understand how important rest and relaxation are during a holiday. As the music originates from a neighboring venue that operates independently from our hotel, it is unfortunately beyond our direct control. While some guests value the hotel’s prime location in the heart of Chersonissos with immediate access to the beach, we also recognize that the lively surroundings may not suit everyone. We continue to raise such concerns with local authorities in an effort to minimize the impact.Your comments about the room facilities have also been carefully noted and shared with our management team, as we strive to improve both comfort and design.Once again, we are sorry for the disappointment caused and thank you for your honesty.   Holiday from hell

  We have just got back from a 7 day holiday,The hotel itself was ok,room service was good,breakfast was good,staff were friendly and polite,breakfast was good too,BUT,OMG the noise from the open air nightclub was horrendous and continuous,it was so loud,the hotel supplies ear buds and free air-conditioning as you cannot sleep with a window open but you can still here the music with the windows shut, and It didnt stop till 5am every day,so from about 12pm till 5am there was just this horrible drum/bass banging noise.so you couldn't even sit out in the afternoon on yr balcony(which was a shame because the views were lovely of the sea) as it was just banging away all day,hardly anyone used the pool during the day, again because of the noise coming from club,it totally dpoilt our holiday,we dont mind music being played But not that loud and intil 5am,as that is just ridiculous,the beach area is tiny and the sea is very rocky,so couldn't even escape the din by going on the beach,after speaking to some of the locals,we felt sorry for them as they hated it too but are stuck with it,it totally ruined our holiday and sadly we will never go back there again unless the nightclub gets shut down,I need another holiday to get over this experience EUROHOTEL team, Sales at Azure Mare, responded to this review Thank you for taking the time to share your detailed feedback.We are truly sorry to hear that, despite your positive comments about the hotel facilities, breakfast, staff, and housekeeping, your overall experience was impacted by external noise during your stay.Please note that our team does its best to ensure a comfortable environment for all our guests including providing earplugs.
