    What a blissful stay!After much research, we chose this hotel to spend our 20th anniversary, and we had the executive suite with private pool. The staff were attentive, friendly, helpful. The place was clean. Our room was stylish, the bed extremely comfortable. Our room was cleaned daily. Fresh towels. Coffee machine and kettle provided. The bathroom was gorgeous and stylish. The view incredible. the private pool with a view was heated for our arrival. I dont know if its always heated - I know the main pool at the hotel is not, but it was nice considering it was october.We took half board as it was very reasonable, and there was a decent selection of food every day. Loads of fresh salads, fruit, crusty bread too. Breakfasts were good Lovely to have various beaches so close too, including pretty little coves. Its a quiet area. We wanted to be able to switch off, relax and get away from it all, and it didnt disappoint. So peaceful. about 1hr15 drive from chania airport

    Room smells terrible, musty and not fresh clean smell! The room does have a beautiful view but the furnishings are not in good repair! Im sorry I booked and prepaid for 2 nights, at almost double the general rate for similar accommodations.I was told at check-in that breakfast buffet was 20Euros, and declined. The literature sitting at the front desk quoted the price as 12 euros. The room charge without a reservation was significantly more than advertised on all the usual third party websites. I just feel really ripped off!!!!As for the restaurant dinner buffet…. Horrible!!!! Maybe the food was warm when it opened but at 21:00, main dishes were all cold, and inedible. Staff was pandering: lots of polite words (like you get on calls to India,) feigned concern, but they did NOTHING about my dissatisfaction!!!! I’ve lived part time in Greece for 4 years and this was the WORST meal I’ve ever had!

    Shocking experience, fundamental issues with our room, services and staff. Not sure how this hotel is still 3⭐️ and can charge over EUR 100 per night (see photos). We had to check out early and book elsewhere after a water started dropping from a ceiling light (that was literally the last drop!). I'll be asking for money back from the third party provider, because the hotel showed indifference, refused to accept responsibility and issue a refund.

    We booked two private suite with private swimming pool and we spent a wonderful stay!! Rooms are clean, very comfortable and the sea view is unique! Big thank you to Richie and Ana at the reception, they are very kind and helpful! I highly recommend and I will come back for sure!Ivana

    This place is magical, the view is precious, the staff is kind and aveilable and the rooms are pretty and clean. There are also lots of cats, Kiss is the most friendly and he loves to be stroked. We chose the option with breakfast and we all agree that the food was delicious. The hotel offers also a little trip in Balos Lagoon, a beautiful spot that you have to see.Thank you so much Balos Beach Hotel.
