Location

Theses suites are situated in the traditional and picturesque village of Old Hersonissos. The sea and the city of Hersonissos are both 3 km away and the hotel is 25 km from Heraklion airport.

Facility

Guests can enjoy the pleasant ambience of one of the 9 rooms, suites and 7 studios. English-speaking staff are happy to assist and advise. Amenities include a baggage storage service and a safe. Wireless internet access in public areas allows guests to stay connected. A garden provides extra space for rest and relaxation in the open air. Additional facilities include a TV room. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage or in the car park (for a fee). Further services and facilities include a car hire service, medical assistance, a transfer service, room service, a laundry service and a hairdresser. A bicycle hire service (for a fee) gives guests the opportunity to explore the surrounding area independently. A fax machine is available for guests' business needs.

Rooms

Rooms are equipped with air conditioning and adjustable central heating. Guests can enjoy the mountain view from a balcony or terrace. The rooms have a queen-size bed and a sofa bed. Extra beds can be requested. A safe provides secure storage for guests' personal property. A kitchenette with a refrigerator and a tea/coffee station is also provided as standard. A direct dial telephone, a television with satellite/cable channels and WiFi (no extra charge) are provided as well. Bathrooms are equipped with a shower and a bathtub, as well as a hairdryer. Guests can also book wheelchair-friendly rooms with wheelchair-accessible bathrooms. The hotel has non-smoking rooms and smoking rooms.

Sport

The outdoor pool complex includes a children's swimming area and is ideal for working out or just relaxing. A short break or an entire afternoon on the sun terrace, which features sun loungers and parasols, is time well spent. There is a poolside snack bar as well. There are many ways to relax or stay active at the hotel, including cycling/mountain biking, fishing, horse riding, diving, a gym and hiking.

Meals

Various dining options are available, including a restaurant, a dining room, a café and a bar. Half board can be booked. Breakfast, a lunch à la carte and dinner delight guests with culinary treats and a wide variety of dishes. Special culinary options, such as vegetarian dishes, are also available.

    Our stay at Balsamico Traditional Suites was absolutely wonderful! The place is full of authentic Cretan character, beautifully maintained, and very peaceful.A huge thank you to Maria, the amazing manager, for her warmth, professionalism, and attention to every little detail — she truly made us feel like family. The entire team was fantastic as well: always friendly, helpful, and ready with a smile.If you’re looking for a genuine, welcoming experience in Crete, Balsamico Traditional Suites is the perfect choice.     My husband and I had a great time staying at the Balsamico suites. From the people, to the service, to the rooms, all amazing! The family who run the hotel are so welcoming and make you feel like you’re at home. Maria, Manos and Stellar were all fabulous and such a big help, nothing was ever a problem. The rooms were super clean, we stayed in a deluxe double room which was enough for us both for 4 nights. The food was exceptional and reasonably priced too. The location of the hotel was great, and literally within a 5/10 min walking distance to the square where you see coffee houses, restaurants and bars. We would definitely return!

    I stayed at Balsamico Suites for 10 days and honestly everything was perfect! Super clean rooms, amazing breakfast, and the warmest hospitality. Maria, Michalis, and Stella made me feel right at home. Michalis’ food at the restaurant is just incredible, and even the little touches like the manicure were great. I’ll definitely be back soon – highly recommended!

    Hi, we have visited Maria, Michalis, Stella and Manos at Balsamico Suites since 2011, It is the most friendly and warm experience you can imagine. Everything from the delicious food 😋(all cooked by Michalis) the beautiful rooms with their perfect details ( which Maria prides herself on 🥰) and Stella & Manos always there to help and assist whether it’s a delicious Cocktail by the Pool or a small snack. For me and my husband it’s a feeling of being in an oasis paradise to relax and enjoy peace and comfort from everyday madness 🙏😎 Martin & Tina 🤗

    We’ve been coming to Balsamico Suites for over 10 years, and every visit feels like returning home. This small, family-run hotel is nestled in the beautiful village of Old Hersonissos, offering peace, charm, and authentic Cretan hospitality – far away from mass tourism.The owners, Maria and Michalis, are what make this place truly special. Maria is always warm, attentive, and incredibly helpful. Michalis is a fantastic chef who prepares every dish with love and passion – dining here is always a treat.The rooms are spotless and beautifully maintained, and some even come with a private outdoor jacuzzi, adding that extra touch of relaxation. There’s also a small, well-kept swimming pool with sun loungers – perfect for unwinding during the day.The village center is just a short walk away, filled with lovely tavernas, bars, and small shops offering groceries and souvenirs. If you plan to explore the island, we recommend renting a car – it’s the best way to discover all the beautiful spots Crete has to offer.We can truly and wholeheartedly recommend Balsamico Suites.
